Note that the audio during the second half of the 1st period and start of the 2nd period is from much later in the game. Cool to see Keon, the Howes and Pie McKenzie.
ST. LOUIS BLUES goalie earlier, WHA JETS goalie after St.Lou., AND before that StL stint..MONTREAL CANADIENS farmhand with minimal "original" 6 experience= WAKELY..
Tonelli played on the dynastic four STANLEYS in a row '80's NY ISLES, WINNING FOUR CUPS...AND WAS RUNNERUP/CUP FINALIST TWICE, ONCE WITH NYI, AND ONCE in '86 WITH THE CALGARY FLAMES..in addition to the WHA AVCO WORLD TROPHY RUNNERUP AEROS IN '76.. Gordie!!! The greatest!!! I Love the old school Goalie masks back in the 70s
Big fan of Andre Lacroix (#7, Aeros). One of the great playmakers.

Strange!
Attendance for this game was 7,995 fans.
U know the aeros backup goalie was a Zimmerman?
Джон Тонелли потом перешёл в Айлендерс и помогал им творить чудеса.. 😊🏒🥅❤ Thanks for sharing!.. 👍💯
My Aeros! Excellent!
The Houston Aeros were the best team of the WHA, in contrast to the Winnipeg Jets!
The next year, as the WHA collapses, the Whalers goes to the NHL becoming the Hartford Whalers!
Wow!!! Ernie Wakely....awesome..

Rip Aeros, they should have been the Houston NHL team..:(
Agree.
Eventually the NHL will arrive in Houston.
@@jeffclark7888 Yeah, the coyotes where almost moved to houston, but it never happen.
The Houston aeros are if I am not mistaken the ahl affiliate of the Minnesota wild, I do believe that Houston will have a NHL franchise soon
@@blackhawks6208 Yes, For now, Houston's Hockey team is the Houston Wild.

Was it a WHA thing to split periods into two halves?
Do you have any other WHA games with Geordie Howe?
was it reverse sweater night or were home uniforms the dark colors? because i recall hockey in the 1970s-1980s home uni's were light colors.
I remember in YEAR ONE of the WHA, teams did wear the dark unis, but after that unless it was a special night, they wore lighter/white jerseys.
lol the audio for the second half is totally fucked up - this is UNWATCHABLE.
