It would be great if Dave, (and one other such as Rabea or Pete,) could take over the Sounds Like series properly. Would love to see him going round the shop, choosing the gear etc. Dave would be really good at closing out the best bits of cheaper gear.

I think this would even be cheaper ;-) For this amount of pedals there’s no need for a buffer. It’s also in my opinion impossible to get a budget friendly Mayer board if u want use the filter effects and get everything into detail. You would have to go get filter, octave, compressor, vibrato,…

Andertons: Can Dave Simpson become "insert name here"?
Fender Stratocaster: You can be anything you want to be, Dave!

I liked the tone from the guitar and amp, no pedals. Plus, Dave rocks! 👍🏻

Mayer didnt really start using the Klon until post Continuum but its a mainstay now. He does use the Katana>Tube Screamer>Klon stacked for his big outro solos. He has swapped the Klon and Tube Screamer order a million times, sometimes even mid tour.

In a perfect world we would still have the Sound like..... series as well as this new great addition (Dave Simpson).
But my suggestion/challenge for you Dave and Lee, is not a specific artist but try to capture the sound of a decade on a budget, ie. The 80's (hair metal), 90's (grunge) etc.
If that's not possible then my artist suggestion would be either Mike McCready, Billy Howerdel or Mark Tremonti.

Love the Dave's and Pete's of the show ...of course the Lee in each. Hahah. Great show here today as I really felt the classic vibe probed it's value. The amp too.
