I, too, have made these pants twice. The first time was an experiment in fitting. They turned out okay. But for my second pair, I tried a few different fitting adjustments and they turned out great! They are one of my favorite makes. Seeing your video inspires me to want to make another pair. Love that scarf. The red fringe is perfect.
Donna, You look great in those pants. I agree that the navy will pair with many things. I have the pattern but never used it. After seeing your make I think I’ll go ahead and give them a try. I’m a curvy girl so that will be the one I will have to cut out. I hope they work out for me. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤
So classy Donna! Beautiful pants! and so very slimming. I must get that pattern. You are looking so sharp. The scarf is the perfect finish to complete your look. No doubt heads will turn as your elegant self strolls by 😍😍 Well done Donna 👏👏👏
@@maryrames6247 This pattern is a must. The fit is great! I believe they will work in a nice denim. I love a classic look. I used to wear scarves with everything! Thank you so much. You're so kind🫠
Hi Donna! I was so excited to see this video. I have these pants cut and ready to sew. My first pair of pants in 25 years. I’m a little nervous having, but I’ll take my time. Your video got me excited to start sewing. Thank- you! I’m glad I found your channel. Do you serge before or after you sew the seam?
@loribarton7480 Hi! Thank you & welcome! Most of the time, I serge each piece before sewing. If it's a definite that the seams will be pressed to one side, I might serge as I go
@loribarton7480 I wore my 1st pair of pants at age 16, but I continued to wear dresses. Since retirement, it's been pants, pants, pants. But I love a dress
Hi Donna, I am an avid fan of yours because I love your taste and style. Also, you seem to sew almost all the patterns I am interested in and love seeing your versions of them. You mostly feature patterns that I already own and inspire me to make. I hope you won't mind me mentioning it but, have you made a change in your video lighting? For the last few UA-cam videos, I've noticed that the lighting is different. They seem a little "cloudy" and hard to see the details. Please forgive me if this is offending but I only mean to give positive feedback and I hope you find it helpful. Thank you so much for sharing your very informative and interesting videos! Enjoy your time away.
@cecilbeverly8865 I am terrible with the lighting. I noticed the cloudiness. I had made a small change...I guess not for the better🙆🏾♀️. No offense at all! I'm glad you're (still) enjoying the videos & can see the many ways you can sew your versions. Thank you so much for supporting this channel. This is what 'community ' is all about🫠
I have had this pattern for years, but have not used it. I always like your style and judge whether I would like it by you. I carry all my weight in my stomach. I could wear a 12 in the hips but between a 14 and 16 in the waist (29 inches). Would I try the average. Definitely not a curvy! Thanks.
@janetmeyer1721 The front pattern piece is the same for each size. However, there are three back pieces (slim, average, curvy). I just looked at the average pattern back piece. It does have more room in the waist (about 1/2 inch). The hip area seems to be very close to the same as the slim. I would use the average for the back & adjust side seams if necessary
Your outfit is beautiful. I just ordered the pattern. Hope I have luck with the fitting. May I mention that I am having difficulty seeing the video. Your lighting seems to be off. Thanks Donna
Thank you, Donna! ❤

@@mamakodijean1185 Thank you so much. I think they're a win! I usually shorten the crotch about 1/8-1/4 in. I did not have to on these
