Very true. I wonder why some people are applying for permanent residence or citizenship in Canada without the intention of being a Canadian by heart. Patriotism is a good thing, but if you're not ready to give it to Canada, I don't think Canada has a place for you.
I will open you a big secret - people going to Canada, not because they love this country, but because they can buy enough food for their families. Your childhood memory will stay with you all your life, you will feel nostalgia about your past and its perfectly fine.
" Patriotism is a good thing, but if you're not ready to give it to Canada, I don't think Canada has a place for you. " Actually, Canada can still have a place for people who aren't ready to give it to Canada. All you have to do is ignore the people :D
I'm planning on immigrating to Canada in the next 7-10 and I totally agree with you. Don't come to Canada expecting the Government to support you, come to work HARD to enjoy a high standard of living for you and your family and give them the life you couldn't in your home country. I agree with your second sentiment to an extent, If you move to Canada be a Canadian FIRST then your second citizenship. Great video!
Absolutely agree to the second point. People immigrate for money and then they start showing their patriotism in foreign country. No one is forcing you to go. If you feel so patriotic.. Go back to your own country!
I am an Indian , i have work exp abroad amd i have witnessed people using thier flags on vehicles,,i used to ask same question this gentleman has quoted,,,if u love ur country then go back to ur country,,,,its simple
Absolutely agree with your first opinion. But, with all due respect, second one was a little rude. If a person has left his/her country and migrated to Canada, it is already proof enough that he/she loves Canada more than his/her home country, but it does not have to always mean that he/she cannot love his/her home country too. If someone moves on in family and has wife and kids, it does not mean he/she cannot say or do anything nice for his/her parents. No offense..... That's my opinion.
I think his point is love your home country but do not flaunt it. Say, if you have two kids, would you always praise one kid while being casual about the other kid's accomplishments. You might love them both equally, but that's still unfair. If you want to help your home country, send money back home, help with charity, invest in business / assets in your home country through whatever legal ways. You can do so many different "useful" things for your home country. But symbols of nationalism, or any ideology for that matter, tend to be loud, divisive and bigoted when it's out of place and context. After all what purpose is served by carrying flags other than declaring your allegiance to whatever that flag represents!
You didn't understand what he meant, try watching a couple more times, hopefully you understand. It's a sentimental problem. Did you love seeing the British flag in your home country? Why would they want to see British or Pakistan, or Indian flag in Canada.
its simple i am an indian, but canada is giving me food my shelter my money my everything, all life, all luxuries in canada, THEN I AM A PROUD CANADIAN. i pay my taxes to the govt. i do my duties towards the government, i love hockey and mapel syrup, and most of all i love the flag.
I think he means one shouldn't be in Canada if you can't be 100% loyal to/patriotic towards Canadian. It would be better if one used a sticker of the Canadian flag vs some other flag. And I guess I agree (even though I'm not even Canadian), because this might ignite racism/segregation. Oftentimes, minorities might not fully integrate because (apart from some people really just being racist pigs) these minorities also segregate themselves, create exclusive clubs of their heritage, because that is a human tendency. We go where we have commonality. But this exclusivity can also potentially cause friction. To avoid this as the saying goes, when in Rome, do as the Romans do. In this case, when in Canada, be a Canadian.
Exactly! How many people who immigrate to other countries have any loyalty what so ever to those nations. Most do not. People born in Canada or other Western nations, who ancestors built those countries, have complete loyalty.
Hello there! I really desire to immigrate to Canada with my family , but still have doubts where to start. Can i somehow talk to you directly, email you , or any other ways to tell you what my situation is?
Your're absolutely right. I am making a big research to leave Brazil and it's the third time I see this kind of comment in a video. Many people not thinking of changing their life, just thinking of being lazy. Sad. I'd like to congratulate you for all the information your are sharing with us. Thanks.
I don't live in canda I'm from the US but honestly I totally agree with your opinion ... people need to learn to get off their butts and work instead of searching places to live free of work and get everything handed to them ! We certainly work hard everyday for the things we have but yet we're struggling with bills ... it's not fair that some people live free of work while the rest of us works day in and day out for our houses our cars and for our food while other people are laying around getting stuff handed to them .
Let's see.... Section 8 housing, SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, SSI, SSDI, Obama phones, TANF, free school lunches, WIOA-paid training & supportive services, heating assistance, no habla English - not my problem.... what's not to like? Sure wish our "neighbors to the south" would get homesick. Not likley. Canada has the right idea ... be reasonably able to support yourself, and be able & willing to assimilate and contribute to the society & economy. In USA, that's now considered racism. So glad Trump isn't going to tolerate these freeloaders coming in illegally any longer.
Good day Sir! Can you kindly tell me is there any demand for acca accountants in canada? Like you said there is no need to come to canada if we plan on just sitting there and doing nothing . Your suggestion and opinion will be valued sir.
I totally agree with you, I was born in Brazil, at the moment I am Permanent Resident, I met some Brazilians here who said they were very homesick, one of them was putting a thousand defects in Canada, I kindly asked: Why do not you go back to Brazil, no one is making you stay here. Go back there and please stop talking about the country that I chose to live. Honestly I do not understand people like that, because they just do not come back from where they came from.
Joeseph Dallaire I think u have a serious issue with Indians, rape problem is not just the problem of India but a global problem..moreover terrorism is the biggest threat which is in Pakistan
Joeseph Dallaire The whole world always knew where the hub of terrorism was. On every occasion, despite clinching evidence being available to prove Pakistani hand in every act of terrorism, the failed State was not dealt with sternly by the international community and allowed to continue with its objective, of spreading terrorism, on the false pretext made by it that it too was a victim of terrorism and was doing all to eradicate it. Pakistani ranting that India is its eternal enemy has been proven wrong time and again by its own countrymen, that too by persons of "stature". This time the responsibility was well discharged by none other than former president and army chief, Gen Pervez Musharraf, who spilled the beans very well known to the world. But the truth coming out from the horse’s mouth has value. Musharraf said terrorists like Osama bin Laden and the Taliban were heroes for Pakistan and admitted that Pakistan supported and trained groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in 1990s to carry out militancy in Kashmir. And to a question whether terrorists Hafiz Saeed and Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi should also be "controlled and stopped", Musharraf said, "No comments." He said that "religious militancy" was started by Pakistan which brought militants from all over the world to fight against Soviet forces, adding that in 1979 Pakistan was in favour of religious militancy. "We trained Taliban and sent them to fight against Russia. Taliban, Haqqani, Osama Bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri were our heroes then. Later they became villains," he said, adding that people need to understand the whole environment at that time.Musharraf has unabashedly acknowledged that his country was instrumental in the rise of the villains of the world, worshipped by Pakistanis as heroes. Does the world need any other confirmation about the Pakistani agenda? Is this not sufficient evidence, enough to declare Pakistan as a terror State and a sponsor of international terrorism? What is the US waiting for, when the former resident of Pakistan has himself admitted that the terrorist, Osama Bin Laden, who obliterated the "Twin Towers", the American status icon, was its hero? It is time the US differentiates between a strategic asset and a hardcore terrorist. India has been screaming from all international platforms that terrorism has no place in a civilised human society. It has given more than enough evidence of Pakistani involvement in the 26/11 Mumbai carnage. Following Musharraf’s true but thoughtless (from the Pakistani point of view) admission, a top American Senator Tim Kaine has said that the remarks of former Pakistan president were "not surprising". Senator Tim Kaine, an influential Democratic Senator in two powerful Senate committees of foreign relations and armed service told the Defence Writers Group thus: "I am not surprised to hear him say that in the past that (Pakistani supporting and aiding LeT) was the case. I think that the evidence about ties between some aspects of the Pakistani government with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in connection with the attack in Mumbai in 2008 is pretty hard to deny." Kaine, who visited the 26/11 terrorist attack sites in Mumbai last October, also said "When you get into the intel (intelligence information) and explore, you get the questions how high the ties were and how officially they were sanctioned. But there were definitely ties (between Pakistani government and LeT).” Downplaying the statement, Pakistan high commissioner to India Abdul Basit said Pakistan was itself a big victim of terrorism, especially since the 9/11 terror attacks on the US. “It serves no purpose for us [to train terrorists]. All militant organisations have been proscribed, and Pakistan is committed not to allow its territory for terrorism anywhere in the world. Rather than being stuck in the past, let us look ahead.” The tall claim made by the Pakistani envoy that all militant organisations have been proscribed is yet another big lie as the so-called ban is only on paper and criminals like Hafeez Saeed and Lakhvi are enjoying state patronage. Given Pakistan’s record, Basit’s remarks that “rather than being stuck in the past, let us look ahead” can only be interpreted as implying that 9/11 and 26/11 were acts of the past, let us look ahead for more acts of terror by our heroes.
I think that you're right except for the flag thing. I can love my home country, for many reasons, and at the same time love Canada. Those reasons could be because I grew up there, I have relatives there... Because I'll feel home in these two countries. I can be proud for being a person who belongs to these two countries AND chosen to live in one of them "Canada".
No, you are here because your people are incapable of building a functioning fair prosperous society, So you come here take advantage of our welfare system while you work cash Jobs and send all the money home to your 17 siblings. Or you bring them all here . Either way you are taking from people who have paid taxes and had families in these countries for generations . You do not belong and I would appreciate if you stopped lying about loving Canada, for you do not love Canada, but what Canada can give you.
thanks sir , i wanna ask you ,if my goal is comming (i'm single) to canada for working ( i hold master degree in petrochemical field with 5 years of experience) and get some money to make a project in my country , plz what do you think about it (income tax , expenses ...)
Totally agree with you. I have lived all my life as an Expat around the world. I got an invitation for Canada, and me an my wife cant wait after more than one year applying for permanent Residence. Everywhere in the world I see foreign people becoming ultra nationalistic when staying abroad. They are always the most toxic people to be around. The little sticker is not a symbol of cultural background is a symbol of denial and alienation. The only people that succeed abroad are those that blend in. They become part of the local culture. Hope we get accepted in this last step to put on our maples.
You tell me the truth but it's hard to face it for those who didn't have overseas life experiences. My family has a plan is living at different country during my kids growing phase , let them to experience different culture or background of the life. In my opinion , home country is the place where has lots of amazing memories , lovely people and suitable life style.
I married a woman from Canada, lived there for about a year before becoming legal in papers. This was before Hong Kong going back and the influx of cabbies that brought crime. Canada is wonderful, but the culture is being changed by garbage trucks and that's sad. It sorta began with the frogs in the late 90"s trying to steal Canadian land. I'll always feel pride when I see the red leaf, for allowing me into their country.
thanks, Alex. You are totally right in all your videos. I'm new here and I enjoy your videos and find them well-organized and profound. I'm going to stay tuned with your channel. more videos on immigration and studying opportunities are a lot welcome
I am ready to struggle everything and I am not homesick either but the problems is with Ircc being rude and selfish. My money is invested in canada and I am not getting any decision on my study permit. This is ridiculous behaviour by IRCC.
Hey Alex, awesome!!! I absolutely concur what you say. If you are migrating to a country that would provide you and your family everything that you always wanted, be loyal to who is proving you. If you plan to leave your country and move to other it means that you have more love for the country you want to move to. So stop pretending being a Patriot and be loyal to one. Wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year Alex.
For me this is the following question before you migrated in Canada? 1.) What is your status in your birth country? Or political stability? 2.) do you have young children that you are looking for better future? 3.) Can you leave behind all your life and family back In your home country and start from the very beginning? If YES then come. Canada for me its one of the best country to live in but, we have a lots of things need to considered, international credentials are No No.. lazy..No No.. Too much pride and Ego?? No again,, you will create your own future here, it’s your own choice.
For example, as for citizens... taxes on incomes, for workers or business men, real state, public transportation, health care, etc. I live in México and I am an accountant and have a fiancée who is a lawyer. We really desire to migrate and give something in return to Canada with work and social commitment. We want to prepare before trying to apply for living and working in Canada. Best regards.
I moved to canada 12 years ago. I have a bachelor in maths-finance. It is tough to get a job on that field. Canada practices "positive-discrimination" in a very abusive way. My nephew has no degree, In France. He went to a Train company, did a professionnal training and now he drives trains. The wage is pretty good.
I don't see an issue in continuing to embrace your culture or your nation in Canada. A lot of the time when people immigrate here they had no choice but to do that in order to provide a better life for their family. So, no, they can't just go back if they feel homesick. You can still feel a sense of pride in being a Canadian while continuing to connect with your roots and if you have a problem with it just mind your own business.
As a seventh generation Canadian I too have no problem with the flags or with ethnic celebrations..i do have a huge problem with immigrants bringing to Canada things antithetical to our way of life, such as Sharia law, so-called honour killings, female genital mutilation, etc. Don't come to Canada if such things are part of your belief system. We don't want you here with such behaviour.
I totally agree with you. I've heard about some people who moved to different western countries like Sweden and Canada, and still complaining about their native countries; they are homesick all the time. I feel they are ungrateful for the country which gave them what they were never given in their native countries.
Also, please blend in with Canadians. Don't just stick to your little community just because you miss your home. Be proud of the place you live at. That doesn't necessarily mean you should start hating the country of your birth but a place where you've migrated with all the trials and tribulation deserves to be called your home now.
Well said I am very proud to be a Canadian and love this country I am an Indian decent from Africa when Amin kicked us Canada took us and I honour this country for all it has given me
Would it be alright If I keep a Pakistani and a Canadian flag tied together in my bedroom because I love both the countries a lot ? I am not brandishing the flag outside and in anyone's face :) -
Well said. Totally agree. Thing is if you are missing your home so much why even come to Canada. Go back. If your country of origin could feed you and give you a decent lifestyle you would not have migrated. Nobody forced you to come to this country. I am fine with immigration, what I would like to see is better integration as well. The scale of ghettoisation going on in this country is astounding. .......its either be done in gradual sustained way, would love liberals to do it, or it will be done the extreme way the likes of Donald Trump. Those who think Donald trump could never happen in Canada, beware one day you will be staring down the barrel and wonder where did we go wrong.
Great video. But I doubt that it will stop anyone from coming to Canada for the mentioned reasons. We have had those people in Switzerland for decades....and new ones arrive every day.
im civil engineer from Spain and id like going to canada to work in there . I think it would be a good opportunity to keep on growing! :) Il be pleased if i could obtain some advice in order to get the passaport fof going there . My plan would be appear over there without job and find something during the time i will spend there maybe months, maybe one year... , mayby more...
Hello , I'm Saptarshi Dey from India. I have done a diploma course on hospitality management & customer service. My last qualification is 10+2 ( higher secondary). Can I get a job in Canada? Please reply
I'm a sikh and i strongly agree with you mate. If someone's planning to be a permanent resident in canada, he must be a canadian by heart first! its the country where u working for a living. To be specific, canada is feeding ya man. complete agree with you man.
Hi, sir I am an experienced electrcial engineer from India presently working with one of the sugar giants of India. I am looking for a job opportunity in Canada in the respective field. Please guide how to do my job hunt from India.
That's why I want to move to Canada. You're like "hey, our arms are open for inmigrants. But you have to work". In my country is like "hey, come here, we'll pay you for doing nothing, like a lot of people that born here". I really need to go to Canada
hello Alex You are awesome bro. I am 26 years old and only passed my inter exams i mean to say 12 stander ed and i have 250,000 Canadian Dollars. Will Canada accept me as immigrant or citizenship, because i don't have any kind of experience or Profession... REPLY
Alex dear im from pakistan &want immigration in canada plz its possibl bcoz my kidz r under education and there is more difficult for our community plz reply me
totally agree with all the points, especially the first one. regarding homesickness, yes it is natural and understandable ..but it's about being respectful to the host country as well.
If you come to Canada to take what you can looking for a free handout and an easy life of entitlements, please leave. If you come to work and make a better life for yourself and family you are welcome. It is easy to figure out. If you don't want to be a Canadian just stay where you and let someone deserving take your spot.
Very well said, your straight talk has very solid punch . The country which gives you food and shelter how can you consider it second ? You must sacrifice yourself for the welfare of it. To solve lots of problem around the world , paper money should go , a special card should be issued to all which should act like a wallet . You can even take it abroad , your relatives or friends can transfer their some cash to your wallet card etc etc. totally transaction free.
For youth and mature, if you have a comfortable life in your country, then don't move to West because life is not as it's shown in Bollywood movies abroad. You might say oh I am going there for better life but again if you have a residence that you own then that is enough reason to not move and if you have home and vehicle you own then definitely you are already at a good place!
Hi I do agree 100% to your statement. Migration is ones own choice. Once migrated of own choice need not grumble on things. As u said u don't remember US and its between you. Being a worker in the middle East I remember my country when going for vaccation and when we friends join for a party and not public. In would love to migrate to Canada. But how is the opportunities there??
I think the reason why most us go there is because its said that there is a nice atmosphere in canada... The rate of narcissism is lower than the us? If not a police state, Or tyrannical government.
Very true. I wonder why some people are applying for permanent residence or citizenship in Canada without the intention of being a Canadian by heart. Patriotism is a good thing, but if you're not ready to give it to Canada, I don't think Canada has a place for you.

chris toper I am 400% willing to give it to Canada. But can’t get to reach there.

I just love this type of straight cut speech ! I really appreciate it ! Thank you very much !
"Patriotism is not cloth to wear but it is emotion of sympathy that god bless you"
I like this hosts insights. very straight forward, honest. Real talk.
thanks :)

Dolphin Solutions bro chill he said abt Russ and Ukraine cauz they are the big enemies of canada
Oh dear! You won't be happy with all the English living here, who are cheering on their national soccer team this afternoon!.
Dolphin Solutions yeah, true bro👌
What if a person did the mccqe 1 and 2 , is this gonna make the immgration easier?
no, it won't make immigration easier
many people don't count how hard it is to move when deciding where to go
👍

Absolutely agree with your first opinion. But, with all due respect, second one was a little rude. Well said!! Plain and Simple, if you are here; work, save, paid Tax, .....etc. and best of all We Are Canadian!
Siddharth Suryawanshi i liked ur comment
You mean May-pill Sizzerp..
True true, but whats your problem with the flags? Everybody has a cultural background even if you were born in Canada.. Why should we deny that?
I think he means one shouldn't be in Canada if you can't be 100% loyal to/patriotic towards Canadian. It would be better if one used a sticker of the Canadian flag vs some other flag. A straight forward and simple statement. Logical to the max and 100% moral. I wish it was the opinion of an entire nation.

I think that the evidence about ties between some aspects of the Pakistani government with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in connection with the attack in Mumbai in 2008 is pretty hard to deny."
Kaine, who visited the 26/11 terrorist attack sites in Mumbai last October, also said "When you get into the intel (intelligence information) and explore, you get the questions how high the ties were and how officially they were sanctioned. But there were definitely ties (between Pakistani government and LeT).”
Downplaying the statement, Pakistan high commissioner to India Abdul Basit said Pakistan was itself a big victim of terrorism, especially since the 9/11 terror attacks on the US. “It serves no purpose for us [to train terrorists]. All militant organisations have been proscribed, and Pakistan is committed not to allow its territory for terrorism anywhere in the world. Rather than being stuck in the past, let us look ahead.”
The tall claim made by the Pakistani envoy that all militant organisations have been proscribed is yet another big lie as the so-called ban is only on paper and criminals like Hafeez Saeed and Lakhvi are enjoying state patronage.
Is it is easy to get job in mechanical engineering field, after doing pg dilpoma?
Diploma has nothing to do with it
Please give us some information about working environment / office environment/ average working hours / Pay for overtime / office timings etc.
thanks sir , i wanna ask you ,if my goal is comming (i'm single) to canada for working ( i hold master degree in petrochemical field with 5 years of experience) and get some money to make a project in my country , plz what do you think about it (income tax , expenses ...)
I think it is not easy at all. You can not just come and work here. Would have to get the work permit first
I know but if I get this latter , I can reach my goal or not ??? thanks for your patience
How to apply canada I'm refugee in south Africa
Suggest me plz good universities and colleges in Canada for post graduation courses in medical field
Absolutely agree with you there Alex 👍 embracing the country and its culture is of prior importance to be able to belong to Canada 🇨🇦
I am an Indian and I truly accept what you just said. everything you just said is 100% TRUTH

How the way to immigrate to Canada and plan to work .. have degree background wish get good future
You tell me the truth but it's hard to face it for those who didn't have overseas life experiences. My family has a plan is living at different country during my kids growing phase , let them to experience different culture or background of the life. In my opinion , home country is the place where has lots of amazing memories , lovely people and suitable life style.
there's a new rule coming out that has stopped me from becoming Canadian when is it coming out
I married a woman from Canada, lived there for about a year before becoming legal in papers.
Hey Alex,
Very well said about home sick ..
I totally agree with you on that
I am ready to struggle everything and I am not homesick either but the problems is with Ircc being rude and selfish. My money is invested in canada and I am not getting any decision on my study permit. This is ridiculous behaviour by IRCC.
Agree!
Do u have an email I van ask question ..
Our contacts are at the end of each video
Which laws would you recommend me to start learning. I would love to live in Canada. Definitely, I won't miss my country except for the family.
Done.
We don't want you here with such behaviour.
absolutely you right
I totally agree with your opinion
It's very cold here. If you're not sure how cold that is watch The Shining fast forward to the end.
I totally agree with you. I've heard about some people who moved to different western countries like Sweden and Canada, and still complaining about their native countries; they are homesick all the time. I feel they are ungrateful for the country which gave them what they were never given in their native countries.
Very true and spot on, I appreciate your thoughts. :)
Our pleasure! Please share if you like it!
Also, please blend in with Canadians. Don't just stick to your little community just because you miss your home. Be proud of the place you live at. That doesn't necessarily mean you should start hating the country of your birth but a place where you've migrated with all the trials and tribulation deserves to be called your home now.
you're OK!!!!! I agreed on some.
he is right .
.
...
I want to work n immigrate in Canada .....please help in words
I do agree with you. You are absolutely right. Your opinion is my opinion as well. God bless you dear.
hello sir can you talk to me in person...
Your points are very much valid .
Those who think Donald trump could never happen in Canada, beware one day you will be staring down the barrel and wonder where did we go wrong.
i want to come n work in Canada.
Why not?
How can I apply for this?
I'm a sikh and i strongly agree with you mate. If someone's planning to be a permanent resident in canada, he must be a canadian by heart first!
its the country where u working for a living. To be specific, canada is feeding ya man.
complete agree with you man.
Rude but honest opinion
👍
I'm an Indian and I agree to whatever he said.
Very well said Sir
👍

Alex dear im from pakistan &want immigration in canada plz its possibl bcoz my kidz r under education and there is more difficult for our community plz reply me
v much valid points. thanx for
spreading awareness for some of the 'Do's & Don't'..
totally agree with all the points, especially the first one. regarding homesickness, yes it is natural and understandable ..but it's about being respectful to the host country as well.
I agree If we are looking for a new change to star again, no waste our change to travel to Canada....
Forgot to say "Thank You". ;)
I m currently studying in canada 🇨🇦 and I m Happy
I agree with everything you said I wish people would feel the same way here in America
100% true.
Appreciate the way you explain.I do agree with you in every step.
Absolutely agree.
the plain truth said right and clear ... I enjoyed so much watching
i think eiffel tour in france not in canada .. this is contradiction you speak to love canada and you put 2 eiffel tour behind you pff
Hi Alex , I agree with you . Every one needs to make choice . And thank you for all that wonderful video!
Hi
I do agree 100% to your statement. Migration is ones own choice. Once migrated of own choice need not grumble on things. As u said u don't remember US and its between you. Being a worker in the middle East I remember my country when going for vaccation and when we friends join for a party and not public. In would love to migrate to Canada. But how is the opportunities there??
Respect for you Alex very well said.👏👏👏
Totally agree !! if you so miss ya home country go back, well said
I think the reason why most us go there is because its said that there is a nice atmosphere in canada... The rate of narcissism is lower than the us? If not a police state, Or tyrannical government.
