Two cameras later I've found that if you don't let the screen slam against the body ( gentle closing) it will last much longer.
Thx for help destroying mine for finding same issue. Made to break!!!
I repaired loads of these with the same problem, also they can trip the smd fuses inside and have to replace them.
But it means is it possible to get it fixed?
I literally have the same issue, rip cam
Hi Catherine, a bit of a design fault maybe. Would be nice to get a replacement part but alas the age of the camera means that parts are rare.
so do i ,,,didnt use it alot,,suppose it just dries out
