Imagine how hurts must Alan feels to think that his lover did it just to please him. Also on the last ep where Wen said he didn't eat beef but he ate it because Alan loved it. That is love. You tried something you dislike for the sake of your partner. BUT you should tell your partner of your preferences. The problem here is because Wen didn't said anything, and Alan knows nothing.
