Sounds fantastic!! I have been following the build as well as the mini-stroker (349) and 408 stroker builds before it. Thanks for the info on the lifter bushing tooling, I bought the kit from Wydendorf Machine and have already bushed a 434" R-block with .062" oil holes for pushrod oiling. RB
Thank you and thanks for following our builds. We're definitely glad you went with the tool, it helped us salvage the 340 and make it a beast of a small block. Pulls on the 437 and 390 will be finished after it warms up a bit. Frigid air was causing us to question our a/f ratio. We're excited for what's ahead.
@@MicsMotorworx Cool air and air density will have big affects on the real power. Cool dense air makes better power. The dyno used in the vid looks like a land and sea unit. We have 2 of them but my guess if all the little details with the valve job on the heads used were corrected and intake fitment was perfect and the card and spacers were matched good my guess is easy 700 HP and and 750 ft lbs My last 410 build with 11-1 comp. pump gas and 850 QF carb reworked W-2 heads and a victor intake was 655 hp 590 ft lbs 340 block split at the bottom of the cylinder when it got to 600 hp and 550 ft lbs. Stitched the crack and epoxied the inside water jacket long with a part fill to the block plugs then had at it again till we got it all out of it. Alot of brain damage to get there but I stopped at 650HP just to be safe.

I have a project coming together also with a W-5 top end. Am very curious what this will produce. My guess 660 hp, 550 pound feet of torque.
Nice.
Let us know how your project goes.
Hp and torque?
Hehe!
January 2023. ;)
