I needed to show solidarity to my gacha game bretheren, even if my total genshin experience was opening it up, having my computer overheat, and uninstalling. (Also Vocaloid representation but I feel like the being a vocaloid fan part's obvious given my other videos)
i was SO excited to see this video in my feed. i’ve been organizing a list of voice claims for my own characters for like a month now and i love voice claims videos in general and i was SO excited to hear the voices you picked out for the characters. ash’s is like scarily identical to how i actually imagined her voice, i think it fits her super well!!!!! and NERVA’s voice caught me so off guard asksjdhfkn (i’ve got a big danganronpa hyperfix atm, plus i’m using kyoko’s voice for one of my characters as well) BUT i think it’s perfect honestly. and, UM. ROSE’S FULL NAME???? HELLO????????? ITS SO PRETTY OMG. (on that note, is she of hispanic descent? that’s what the name seems like at least.) and yeah her voice claim is great too!!!!!! samuels voice claim also caught me so off guard cause of the character chosen in question (iykyk) but it also works too. and i LOVE mae whitman and scott pilgrim and vida so like i LOVED that voice claim as well. gosh i don’t know where i was going here (atp im just gushing lol) but overall i really REALLY like this. even though it’s just voices it feels like a whole nother side to these characters i get to learn, makes it so much more immersive…um yeah that’s it keep it up as always dovefilm 😊😊😊
Ahhh!! I'm glad I was so on point for Ash. She was one of the last choices I made, but it just clicked the minute I found that character. And admittedly I never played Danganronpa, so funny I accidentally caught you off guard there (I had to have my friend explain to me Sam's voiceclaim and the only reason I doubled down was because if anyone deserves a creepy source, it's him. Karma for his canon actions). AND YES. Rose is hispanic, specifically dominican! I really felt bad for having like, zero canon ethnic backgrounds for these characters, and my go-to default for my nonwhite characters tends to be descending from the caribbean, since that's my own background, so it just kinda unfolded from there. (Rose also definitely named Vida, and I don't think it'll ever come up, but despite being non-binary they feel strongly attached to their birth name and never saw a need to change it. Still seethes at the fact their mom named them because the mommy issues are strong BUT THAT'S GETTING INTO PLOT TERRITORY). AND!!! I still have been putting off watching the Scott Pilgrim show due to finals, but I adore Mae Whitman's voicework, and the rasp in her voice for Roxie just clicked so well for Vida that I was like, okay this is them. Thank you so much for your comment! I was glad I could enhance the depth to these lovely characters even just through vocal choices :)!
