You’re calling scripture ridiculous. 1 Corinthians 6:19 (NIV) “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;”
Do you believe the Scriptures teach that Jesus cast out demons from within people. So if Jesus believed that a demon could be inside a person why can’t God give us the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit as a comforter, as a seal for redemption.

The Holy Spirit DOES NOT literally indwell in any humans body, that is absolutely ridiculous.
