Honestly, he's the main reason I love criterion so much. Just an amazing dude and he was over the moon kind to us from the beginning. Just a great company to support and say "yea, I'm with those guys" -Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo I’m new to them and have so many questions. The last couple days I’ve been wondering if he’ll do a small batch of true 556 throat in 1.4646. I only give the Big Sandy types 556 chambers. I need to tap Mike’s mind, but don’t want to waste his time. Why are their chambers so tight? What’s your take on that? Who’s your side girl when it comes to barrels? Thanks
Ive been using a 14.5 mid-length CORE barrel for over a year and absolutely love it. I'm a very simple-minded shooter and no Hawkeye, but it's more accurate than me and the weight balance is phenomenal when paired with an MLOK rail. I have friends with decked-out DD Mk 18s who can't believe how light my carbine is.
MunitionWorks offering Criterion's Core Series Barrels and allowing the customer to build their preferred setup around these barrels is a Godsend for shooters like myself.
Well apparently I screwed up the break in process on one of my Criterion barrels. The other one I did OK but not exactly what he said. Either way, both of them have been superbly accurate and gassed perfectly.
Mike is the man. He answered their main line when I called in with a question and spoke to me for over 10 minutes and got me squared away and even added a custom touch that I needed without charge.
Now that y'all are probably back from shot show, here are some of the things i would love to see a review on: Quore performance inner belt and iceplate exo carrier, Blueforce gear GRID belt with their holster adapter and tenspeed chest rig, Agilites new battle belt, Aliengear and other duty holster alternatives to Safariland, Beez I/O belt, Shaw Concepts Usurper Belt. And a test / comparison / showoff between all the ultra high candela lights. Surefire, Modlite, Arisaka, Malkoff,...
I took my 16” Criterion Core out to a precision class, and was getting consistent hits on a 18”x36” plate at 1K yards, took 3 shots to walk in and shot 9 consecutive hits center mass….. Fantastic barrels. I have 11.5”, 12.5”, 13.9” 16” and a 18” all core barrels….. You could say my go to barrels lol
I have a 14.5” Criterion barrel from American Defense Manufacturing that I believe was under gased. At first the first few rounds would only double feed, then would not eject the next round at all. Pretty bummed out.
While it's possible, it could also be related to gas inefficiency in the system. You could have a bad gas block fit (sometimes this will work itself out after a few hundred rounds and carbon deposits will seal it up), could have a out of spec gas tube, could have an out of spec gas key, could have too large of a freebore in your bolt carrier, could have an undersized bolt, or you could have two in spec parts that through tolerance stacking throw the system out of spec. The list goes on.
Couldn’t be happier with my 13.9 hype train core barrel.
The hype is real

Nice hearing someone talk about break-in and cleaning to improve predictable accuracy. You can get amazing results if you pay attention.
Mike Ross hooked me up one time, I will never forget that. What a good dude.

Wow. I just learned a whole lot.

I love me some Criterion. They seem to be OEM'ing for just about everyone.

Love my 13.9 Core! Amazing performance!
My barrel just shipped today! I can’t wait! Thank you Criterion! Thank you Mike!
It took something like seven months of production, but I'm finally getting hands on the 20" CORE after returning from a long trip. M16 let's gooo
Good stuff!!

Those new Ripcord rails might be the most badass rails on the market. Ugh I want one but I just bought a Hodge 11.5” S-lock, but now I also need a 13”

He is amazing. I think my favorite part about his brand is supporting such a good dude.
Is the barrel break-in procedure presented in the video for a bare steel bore or for a chrome lined one like the Core series? Thanks.
Sandcutter at home baby !
the barrels are cool but I kinda wish you'd get back to releasing old movies on bluray

Thank God they have doubled up manufacturing. That CORE 13.9” is always sold out
Gundeals subreddit is the best spot to get availability and price on these
But well worth the wait!!
Available at Rooftop Defense right now
I just orderd the 16inch rifle length.

I just want a hybrid profile chrome lined 6.5 Creedmoor barrel!

You should call them, they will take care of you.

I just got my 16 inch core barrel for my upper build and I'm only missing my gas block, can't wait to zero it in
You'll have to share some photos with us!
Is criterion had their of own AR-15/ar10 rifles?
