We caught an octipus about 30 miles offshore in Jacksonville that was about 3 times that size and was bright red and blue. He let go of the hook in the boat and RAN to the edge and over before we could grab him. Those things can move if they are on the deck.
No doubt about it them 3 boys are going to be asking dad can we take the boat by ourselves before you know it. They are great well behaved young men also , great job Gabe better you learning them than anyone else bud.
Again, my jaw hurts from smilin'. Bet my Pop is as well, remembering the craziness he put three boys all a year apart through...Gosh, to get those times back. Carefree, always knowing you were safe with him no matter what.
My sister , her husband an 2 younger kids flew to Destin FLA one summer and I drove their SUV , older son and one of his friends down to meet them . On the way back the two boys figured out a way to inhale too much air and make themselves fart . So I had deal with that for the first half of the trip . Then I rolled down their windows all the way , locked the windows so they couldn't roll them back up, and drove 70mph all the way home , ignoring their begging and promises not to do it anymore , and just grinning ear to ear the rest of the way home . You mess with the bull , you get the horns .
Those boys are so lucky as are you sir! Spending time outdoors with my son and the many friends of his that were usually with us, are my favorite memories.

Octopus is one of my favorite things to eat. Suction cups were treats for us as kids growing up in Puget Sound.
