Every now and again i revisit this. Love the intimacy of this performance. They were an important band who never got too big, you can really sense their humility and gratitude
Only 27k people have seen this, prob only half as much or less bc if you're like me you've probably watched this like 3 or 4 times, a damn shame, the rawness and casual vibes of this set are fantastic. A band well worth anyone's time, every song in this set has stuck with me since first watching it.
The news is all good And I'm flying higher I'm back on my own Don't worry about me I got no more baggage Threw all my old things away I got your letter Thanks for the offer Really don't need a thing Open the door in front of me The sun is now shining down on me Meet me as soon as you can Bring me the money you're holding for me Taking my head out of the sand Oh, maybe I'll go see the world? There's plenty of places to see Voices I never have heard Look at the way it ought to be Oh, I'm on a roll Oh, I'm on a roll And are you still listening to me? There isn't a light as far as I see
Hey man! you can find a version quite like this one but eletric on the split ep they made with the band Calla. Well, its hard to find it for free but you can buy it. Hope it helps.
Женя Комендантов actually женя, you're are right but if you listen to Roy Orbison from the album you will see that it sounds like this version, albeit with some changes
Robert Miller yeah me too! Someone taking inspiration from one of the most renowned and influential musicians to exist really bothers me too. Also super damn awesome you got the first comment. Anyway, I dunno how valid my opinion is, my sister used to put antifreeze in my OJ as a kid. Just saying, this guy thinks you're great bro
Finding inspiration in the great ones, why should it be a problem ? ... This guy doesn't seem to me like a copycat , does he ? He's just singing. If it comes out with "familiarity with..." good for him. Good night folks

New country is such a beautiful song, and this version just crushed me a little.
This video is like an old friend. Something to revisit at least once a year.
Another archive gem. The Walkmen... the feels.

even when jetlagged, the walkmen can't be beat 🙌🏼
one of my favorite band's of all time happy I had the chance to see them live i've been a fan since there first album
I discovered the band from the Toyota commercial! Do you remember that?
Love them so much!... Listening to this brings tears to my eyes... of joy.
Hamilton is the best. his voice, his music, is going to be a classic some day. mark my words.
You are right! But at present he draws much less attention considering how talented he is!
I feel like they’ll be one of those Nick Drake, Velvet Underground, Big Star type legends who get more well known after the fact
They're reuniting in 2023 and my life is complete. 😭
I discovered them shortly after they announced their hiatus. 😭
Hamilton is a treasure. Wildly underrated.
Miss these guys a lot.
oh boy i have great news for you
The news is all good
And I'm flying higher
I'm back on my own
Don't worry about me
I got no more baggage
Threw all my old things away
I got your letter
Thanks for the offer
Really don't need a thing
Open the door in front of me
The sun is now shining down on me
Meet me as soon as you can
Bring me the money you're holding for me
Taking my head out of the sand
Oh, maybe I'll go see the world?
There's plenty of places to see
Voices I never have heard
Look at the way it ought to be
Oh, I'm on a roll
Oh, I'm on a roll
And are you still listening to me?
There isn't a light as far as I see
so beautiful and crisp and hopeful
Thank you! Had been wanting to watch this again for years.

9:17 Look Out the Window una cancion que cantaron pocas veces, y no se porque
The sound of my childhood baseball glove
Like the Holden Caulfield's brother's base ball glove?
Look out the window is originally titled Roy Orbison on the Recoys album. Fun fact!
Женя Комендантов actually женя, you're are right but if you listen to Roy Orbison from the album you will see that it sounds like this version, albeit with some changes
Женя Комендантов look out your window is very different
Женя Комендантов i think they renamed it by then. Would love to listen to the ep version, can't find it online
💜
Holy shit, that was good...
❤
Peak Nick Swardson resemblance, Ham.
Salut si quelqu'un a le titre du morceau qui passe à 12.20 je prends merci ;)
Always good (sempre muito bons). When it was recorded?
In what year and where was this concert shot?
what EXACT guitar is Hamilton using??
Bonjour, comment être informé des soirées de poche pour y assister ?
Surveillez notre site !
It kinda seems like they're actively playing over some people who are talking in the background
THE WALKMEN IN MEXICO??
M C They're not together anymore, bud. Sorry
Llegas muy tarde estuvieron en un festival por allá en 2006 creo era foro sol pero
sorta sounds like bob Dylan... I can dig it
I didn't know Tig Notaro was a singer/songwriter too.
gabelogan56 Good one.
ha! that's the longest I think Leithauser's hair has ever been
FIRST!
Also it kinda bothers me that this guy is like trying to be like Bob Dylan or something
Just saying, this guy thinks you're great bro
because what's original about trying to be exactly like someone else, do your own thing. if I want to hear Bob Dylan I'll look up Bob Dylan
Go listen to the Four Provinces by the walkman
Salvia Erik? Is that you?
