The reason some birds dont have flight is because some species end up not needing it In NZ, we had no native mammals, therefore there were no threats to the birds and so some didnt need to fly, instead staying on the ground to get bugs etc
Wild turkeys can fly more than just up to a branch. When I lived in the country we had a bunch of wild ones that would be all the way toward the top of the pine trees out back of the house. Early in the morning you could see them fly down to eat, it also explains why there was turkey shit at the top of the house windows. >.>

But they never mentioned like half a year for me and no one ever came back to it. Its a miracle i even made it to college! But french is still my Achilles heel.
