@@jasminealice560 You’re right, and for the most part I believe that and was just a light hearted joke. But if you wanted an essay on it then usually the type of food you can afford, where you’re able to shop and the quality of food is tied into your socio-economic status and often (although I believe that it’s changing now) the richer you are the more likely you are to vote for the Tories. Obviously not saying Tallulah and her fam are Tories ,and tbh I like her content either way, but you can’t divorce politics from anything, especially food haha.
responding to the everyone is rich assumption - the boarding school i went to most people were there because their parents were in the army and had to keep moving schools so it was easier to move houses but stay at the same school if that makes sense and the army paid for a lot of it
Can anybody explain the answer to the first question, when she said she saw someone 'sweet' or saw someone's sweet. What does that mean? I might have misheard though.
I find so interesting to watch your videos cuz we dont have boarding school in my country, so its such a weird and different concept of education for me. But anyway, im loving to watch. Been learning a lot
Hey super interesting video, I was struck by the title as here in Kenya (former British colony) we were left with a legacy of boarding schools being quite common. I think the only difference is that they are kind of the "default" high school option vs being private schools. Assumptions I also agree with: 1) Revising hard but pretending not to - sooo real. I didn't catch on the first ever term and I was almost bottom of my class lol. 2) Drama over small things - some of the biggest dramas inmy old school were over the pettiest thing. Once someone snuck a Harry Potter into school (weren't allowed outside novels) and they almost got expelled. 3) Zero bullying policy, but instead girls got competitive over other random things like studying hard lol.
Can u maybe explain how to convince ur parents to send u? bc u said u forced them to send u and i want to go sooooooooooooo badly but my parents say no :( if u do THANK U
Hello, thank you for providing these videos which give a good insight into what boarding school life in the UK can be like. I have a question for you.. I'm applying to work in a role similar to a house parent: what, in your opinion, makes a good house parent / mistress?
I honestly love your videos so much, i know this sounds weird but it feels like a nice little FaceTime with an old friend 💕
