I remember as a kid a Clinic opened up right in the middle of our neighborhood ... Even as a kid I thought it was kind of out of place. I finally found out what the clinic was because one of my sisters friend used to work in the clinic and told us what the clinic was doing. Sad
Of course, minorities are most likely getting pregnant multiple times and underage and not wanting to keep the child or unable to afford those kids. Lived in a Latino and Black community and the average teen or young woman got pregnant with no sense of responsibility. A clinic like that would have a tough time surviving in an exclusive middle to upper middle class community, where it's unlikely that most of their female citizens would get pregnant as often as minorities due to antiquated ideas.
She was a supporter of sexual freedom and freedom from unwanted babies. She had a lot of devoted fans and followers. In some of her interviews she was very vocal about preventing black and other minority people from having children. She really did call some people that she deemed inferior, weeds. Her ideas are rampant in the Democratic Party and school systems. When I was a teacher, Planned Parenthood gave middle and high school kids condoms. Of course many used them as toys to harass and embarrass other kids 😢

True that. Me and my gf when in university did the mistake of having an abortion, all avaliable booklets, resources, online or at campus was aimed towards getting an abortion. Nothing was aimed towards what to learn or what resources could be had to help out instead. A simple "How to be a parent" pamphlet, could have made all the difference. So, being that our situation was uncertain, no job etc, that was the result. Which was a horrible mistake we have both grieved over ever since. They also did an error in their scheduling, which is another issue, but it wasnt until the day of, we realized it was a developed child already, but they still went ahead with it, and put the little dead baby in a tiny coffin, and asked us if we wanted to bury it. I could not talk to people for 6 months after that. I think there is at heart something wrong with society when one make it far easier to kill ones offspring, than get any help educating oneself in how to take care of it. Its as if getting children is wrong, aborting them is right. "Cant afford a stroller? No worries, we'll abort your kid free of charge instead".
@sidthesloth1648 Its all the western countries, they all have the same system. They take after whatever the US does in these matters. As soon as Roe vs Wade was overturned, a new "taskforce" was established in Scandinavia to reconsider the abortion system. For us, we can only tell our story. Hopefully it can contribute to those that come after to experience a society that cares more for young families. Currently they do not. Being 20 something is exceptionally difficult, society does not make space for upcoming generations adequately with jobs and oppurtunity. That comes later in life when one need it less.

@@scottcharney1091 Sanger herself revealed concern over that impression in a letter to a colleague: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.” She succeeded in convincing many black leaders, including ministers, of birth-control’s “family planning” benefits. Eventually, these same “benefits,” and more, would segue into the justification of abortion. So it is unsurprising that although blacks comprise a mere 12 percent of the population, black women account for 36 percent of all abortions performed (according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s December 2000 report). Or that a disproportionate number of “family planning” clinics are located in urban areas largely populated by low-income blacks and other minorities.

Of course, minorities are most likely getting pregnant multiple times and underage and not wanting to keep the child or unable to afford those kids. Eugenics is the “practice or advocacy of controlled selective breeding of human populations (as by sterilization) to improve the population’s genetic composition.”
In her articles and speeches, Sanger gave evidence time and again that she considered there to be a close link between birth control and eugenics. As the author of articles entitled “The Eugenic Value of Birth Control Propaganda” and “Birth Control and Racial Betterment,” Margaret showed the world her true colors and the underlying reasons why she thought the world needed birth control. Eugenics goes even deeper than racism, because the philosophy espouses it has the right to determine who should live, who should reproduce, and who should die

My mom knows that the random killing of an unborn child totally goes against the catholic faith, and such a sin must be confessed to a bishop because your local priest will not easily forgive you for that. Racism and abortion are two major issues Catholics like me tackle. Not to mention, the founder of that internment camp for children in the womb was a racist Ku Klux Klan member, which claim to be Christians but they attack Catholics because they are aware that Catholics are an anti-racist religion.

You should read up on the origin of eugenics. Very interesting how it started as a health movement with the hope of eliminating then untreatable illnesses. Sad how it was implemented by racists. As for Sanger she was clear in her writings that race was not a factor in her beliefs, only health issues.
We did. We actually went to war over it. We went to war to stop a racist eugenicist, who killed a bunch of Jewish people, but we allow a racist eugenicist
to exist here in the US.
Logic, everyone.
"I believe that the Negro question is coming definitely to the fore in America, not only because of the war, but in anticipation of the place the Negro will occupy after the peace. I think it is magnificent that we are in on the ground floor, helping Negroes to control their birth rate, to reduce their high infant and maternal death rate, to maintain better standards of health and living for those already born, and to create better opportunities for those who will be born. In other words, we're giving Negroes an opportunity to help themselves, and to rise to their own heights through education and the principles of a democracy."

Social Work founded on eugenics. CPS etc. planned parenthood only helps ladies to not have children. If someone is pregnant they are not helpful. Thanks for your prayers and respect for those lost. I will pray too.

@@scottcharney1091 Sanger herself revealed concern over that impression in a letter to a colleague: “We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”
She succeeded in convincing many black leaders, including ministers, of birth-control’s “family planning” benefits.

The "human weeds" quote is a complete fabrication, and "word to go out," in the 1920s, meant that they didn't want people getting the wrong idea! Sanger and MLK praised one another. Rosa Parks was on PP's board in the post-Sanger era. Sanger worked with WEB DuBois and did not tolerate bigotry on her staff. She spoke before the Klan Women's Auxiliary because they asked her to; their menfolk didn't want them to know about contraception. She later said that it was the weirdest experience of her life. Her own writings show great sympathy for the women of the Far East.
She was definitely a eugenicist, but she opposed any kind of forced (or even coerced) eugenics. She found the Nazis horrifying. A major goal of hers was actually to prevent abortion (illegal and unsafe in those days) by expanding access to contraception, and that's still true today. PP actually prevents far more abortions than they perform.
Have whatever stance you want, but don't lie about it.
@@scottcharney1091 She's still a eugenist, you can't not be racist, and be a eugenist. She doesn't want disabled people to have children, and people of color
@@scottcharney1091 so she's therefore abilist and a racist, so quit writing a page worth of a comment, trying to convince me that she's not racist, because the facts speak for themselves
The word of the Lord whispers in the world through your work.
That comment about clinics location was on point.
It's also a lie.
@@scottcharney1091 Grow up
That. Is. In fact. Truth.
