Saulo , podes "mostrar" dar uma ajudinha de como construir um estudo no gtow para ir aperfeiçoando os sizes consoante as boards e o range percebido? Como construir um estudo, o que ter em conta, o que fazer...
man I love your videos, another coach has put forward that BB turn checking range is very weak and we can size up and bet wider than GTO in the delayed cbet line and they are helpless, as the turn probe line is imbalanced to value for fish, so we are exploiting them and overfolding their turn probe is okay. Against regs though I guess we have to be balanced on flop and have a strong checking range that can handle a turn probe using high static equity hands more (tpgk)
Thanks buddy. No, you shouldn't ever overfold against probes from fish (unless they put out a huge overbet). Whoever said that is not playing this node for max EV
@saulocostapoker thank you for replying , and makes complete sense after a database review of this line my 35.5% fold to turn probe SRP from BB is embarrassing 😳 but I am turn probing at 60.3% and making $$ 😁
I play PLO but I am reading your articles and love watching your videos. Want to find some time to learn NL for fun. May be low stakes Blueprint is for me ;)
Poker has become so complicated these days. Small margins for mistakes, gotta know ur frequency in every spot, have to learn about merge bets and probe bets , etc. And even if u master these you barely bear NL50 or NL100. Best to pick better pools or switch to live games.
💯 And you didn’t even mention you’re likely going against vs colluders, bots with real time adjustments, crazy rake on some sites, etc. Online poker is almost completely dead, at least the cash games. Tournaments is where is at imo
I dunno i have bien crushing nl 100 lately ( on a french room with low trafic and soft pool ) if you just select Well and play strong it is not that hard , i think most people overevaluate their level and don't realize they are not just making marginal error but literaly spewing a lot
Not completely true, pools are full of bad regs who don't bluff enough and use b75 too often. They are exploitable if you have the balls to bet big like Saulo alluded to and over defend the turn in many lines.
Chess is a perfect information game and the best players in the world do not even have 90% in terms of optimal execution. And you say this where poker is imperfect information game.
helllo, I watch a lot of your videos on UA-cam and the content is really great. I would like to have the details of the percentages that you have in the long term on NL50 or NL100 for the cbet flop and cbet turn. I would like to know if I am close to the standards or not at all
Hey Saulo. I noticed that you said in this video, and several of your previous videos, that studying is crucial to success at the poker table. I have to be honest, I find studying to be the least enjoyable part of poker. I enjoy playing and watching poker but not the studying. I can barely spend half an hour in GTO Wizard before I want to do something else or just want to actually play some hands. Any tips on how to make studying more fun? 😄
I overprotect my flop checking range and exploiting to overbluffing probe bet. I also overbluff probe because of the overfolding. Good to see that data tells me this is good thing to do. probably have 100000 other areas where i am being exploited. Thanks for the video!! One day i will move up from 50Nl to 100NL. My needed bankroll is so close, but last months break even :(
Another exploit is no one is balanced on their donk bets or prob bets. If a villain donk or prob bets the flop or turn and they then check I always bet at least 50% of the pot (no matter what I’m holding) and they almost always fold.
tbf cant i just simplify strategy to bet range IP vs blinds defense on all J+ high boards? especially in low stake tournaments where are big tendencies to fold flop?
additionally in these type of tournaments there is very dynamic change of table seatings, so for a long part of the tournament it is really hard to exploit individual leaks and simplifications like this
Hey buddy. I'm not familiar with tendencies specific to tournaments, as my content is focused on cash games. But to answer your question, any simplification that you make comes with you getting more exploitable. It all comes down to which line you think you are the least exploitable at (or the one that you think exploits your opponents the most)
I probe bet about 55% of the time. Very few players even consider raising a probe which is awesome. Probe bets are like the c-bet for the OOP player. Whenever you say people over bluff it just baffles me. I swear, every time I try and make those big call downs it seems like they have it more often than not.
The thing is that you only remember the times where you called and lost. And there is also the pot odds effect - you can call a bet and lose 66% of the time and still make a profit. It's just that your brain will register that you lost 'more often than not', not that you 'made a small profit'. So you feel like it's not working, when it actually is
Incredible content again, by far the classes I"ve seen here are super good and I wonder how much time you invest to make suvh a content! Bora chekar tptk em board molhado e deixa os reg vir pra 2 kkkkk 😅💸
The line discussed in the video is the probe line, not donk. And although people have a weak pair a decent amount in this line for a small size, it can't be said it's 'generally' a weak pair, as the range composition contains all types of hand classes at substantial frequencies

I've noticed a huge overfold on 75% turn bet, in single raise pot and 3b pots. NL 25
You think b75 makes them overfold, start using b125 or b150. That's insane levels of over fold.
I overprotect my flop checking range and exploiting to overbluffing probe bet. I also overbluff probe because of the overfolding. Saulo why you got to ruin my money printer for past 3 years?
You want all the money to yourself huh 😁 your colleagues need to make money too!
because this strategy was leaked and now they want to squeeze every penny out of it before nobody pays none

It really doesnt matter how hard you study you simply cant make the best move in poker, we are not capable of applying the best play in each scenario.

Who is checking behind with 5 high??? Let me play this guys lol
Where in this video did any example hand check behind 5 high?

People in the comment section are pretending they are capable of bluffing😂, trust me overfolding in most of the games is +EV almost 90% of the time.
If the context of what you are saying is online cash games, then it's 100% incorrect. Can't speak for other formats though
Data says otherwise
