Medical Port Device Assembly Machine

The experts at SDC designed and built this automated system as a method to produce, inspect, and package CPAP assemblies. The assembly machine de-reels tape, pulls off the back material, and feeds it into the machine. Then, the machine picks up medical ports that a fed from a hopper and places them in the proper orientation on the tape. Sheets of four parts are cut, stacked and loaded into a box with an instruction pamphlet. Cycle time is four parts/second.
