A fabulous Renault R5 Maxi Turbo with 400 horsepower transformed with electronic injection. In the video, the start up of the engine and various accelerated and revs with the engine sound and powerful flames from the exhaust.

La plus belle des Renault,restera le symbole très longtemps.
I went inside as a passenger.. 140cv.. it is incredible my legs were shacking after turns after turns up side hills in San marino republic.
I was owner of a standard R5 turbo.
Yo en 2006 tuve un Clio V6 lo más cerca de poder tener un Maxi turbo 2 . Esta unidad negra es preciosa un coche de conductor no como ahora que llevan 100.000 controles eléctricos .con este si se ve el piloto , disfrútalo amigo

What a lovely tiny beauty...................................A friend of mine bought one of these in "pearl white" back in 1986 for 12000 pounds which were quite a bit of money back in those days..............I think it's worth 40000 pounds as a vintage classic now......

Literally one of the greatest cars France ever produced , shame Renault cant re-make this car id pay 20 grand for it brand new if they did remake this exact model it is a God of a Car
A remake of this car today would cost at least double the $20,000 you speak of. It's radical to the point it's better compared to Mitsu EVO than the Fiat Abarth that one would naturally think of.

Renaut gt5 was my dream car...it just had to be my first car..and it did.I will never forget it...2001-2007 my wife met me with that car..it was pure magic nothing comes close!!!

Sounds like rally cars when you enable the antilag system and it retards ignition etc, which I expect this to have for the flames
At some points on the video it is turned off and it sounds fine again

Bena Bull son moteur sort un son bizarre au ralenti , apparemment chaque moteur sport v6, v12, vr6., gti, r32...le son n est pas pareil...la audi rs4 ou rs6 quattro la bouffe et c est un missile avec un son monstrueux

on s'en branle de tes RS4 ou RS6 de beauf, ça n'a strictement rien de comparable avec cette caisse faite pour les rallye et qui au contraire avec ses 400 cv (au lieu des 160 de la version civile originelle déjà capable de te faire le 1000 m en 27s) bouffera tes tanks allemands pour Autoroute rectiligne à l'accélération. Comparer une citadine de Rallye à moteur arrière avec des familiales survitaminées faut vraiment n'avoir aucune culture automobile pour oser la faire celle là...Au fait vu que tu n'y connais rien je te suggère d'assister une fois dans ta vie à une course de cote ou à un rallye et d'écouter les moteurs au ralenti, tu verras comme ça ratatouille bien car c'est pas du tout fait pour rester comme ça, mais pour aller titiller les rupteurs...

400CV me parait beaucoup alors que les "tour de Corse" faisaient 300CV :-(
Ce n'est pas une Maxi 5 . c'est une R5 Turbo 2 vu son look
oui et elle fait 175cv et non pas 400 , c'est de la pure connerie ce titre.

@@nathaaab Ça se gonfle d'accord,mais pas à 400cv,les maxi 5 de Rallye faisait entre 320 et 350cv,ce qui ait déjà énorme pour un moteur comme ça.....
@@olivierfulcrand6841 Justement, je considère que si à l'époque ils on réussi, je pense qu'aujourd'hui on peut faire mieux. Après tout, de grande chances que celle là a une injection électronique et tout, nouveau turbo, contrairement à la R5 Turbo un intercooler, etc, de l'optimisation plus poussée encore...
@@olivierfulcrand6841aujourd'hui des 4 cylindres arrivent à encaissé 1500cv, et toyota sort même d'origine 300cv de leur 3 cylindres donc oui 400cv dans un C6J c'est possible surtout en injection électronique

This is NOT a Maxi. It is a Renault R5 Turbo.
Only 20 Maxis were built and they all entered competition. What you're looking at here is the Turbo 2 with the 'Maxi Kit 'Alpine offered between 84-85.
