As a black girl, having curves is something that is inevitable. I remember I had this teacher in the 6th grade that didn't like me. (I was the quiet kid in class) the desks were arranged in several rows of two, but I sat in the back by myself. He gave us this assignment that required partners and he spent about 5 min pairing everyone up. I told him I didn't have a partner and all he said was "Gee that's too bad" 😒 needless to say I got an F on that assignment 😞

I can so relate. I hated high school. I was such a loner. It was such a living hell. I'm so thankful for the "It Gets Better" campaign that was out during that time. I honestly think it helped in a small way. And the tv show "If You Really Knew Me." It got better!

There is someone in my mom's office who just finds it pleasurable to fat shame me. I was eating a piece of chicken a week ago and she walked in on me eating it and she said,"I don't think someone of your size should be eating chicken, because you are fat you should be eating salads", she just ruined my mood for the rest of the day.
I had a teacher in the 10th grade that was a bully. I can't even remember all the stuff she would say to me anymore, but I do remember I would sit in her class seething with anger. Well one day, we were in the computer class, and I asked her to clarify something, and she answered me in such a way that was so condescending and didn't really answer my question. Fortunately my mom was on her way up to the school to bring me my inhaler, and when I went to the office to meet her, I told her that the teacher was being a beeotch again, so she went to the classroom with me, and she came through for me. My mom is a very timid woman, but she didn't take kindly to a teacher bullying me, and she took care of the problem =)

I was held back a grade in 3rd grade cause my teacher was racist. Mind you I was a black girl living in Kentucky and I still do. My mom only held me back cause she felt I didn't learn anything.
