Dubois was so much more likeable before he beat Joshua. Parker is a more Usyk type of fighter who is light on his feet and his head won’t be in one place all the time. I have Parker beating Dubois and giving Usyk more of a test than Dubois, Joshua and Fury.

True Geordie, I hate to disagree with you for the first time but Dubois hasn't buried any demons yet. AJ fought a highly disappointing and uninspiring fight. He didn't look prepared at all. He was very casual and Dubois had no choice but to take full advantage of that lackluster performance by AJ. But I'm still not convinced Dubois has changed much. Anyway, time will prove me right, I strongly believe.

Those two gave a very good account of themselves even though they lost, Miller was overweight (no fitness) yet fought strong till late in the fight before the KO. Hrgovic was winning the fight until the facial cuts stopped him from continuing. AJ posed no threat at all, so that's the difference.
Parkers team are years ahead of Dubois in terms of experience and a lot more grounded as well, Warren and Don Charles are still screaming they were robbed against Usyk, TO THIS DAY!

Only just noticed this, but when AJ goes down, just before it his glove touches down, therefore the ref should have stopped Dubois to give an 8 count instead of letting him pummel him for another 10 seconds. I was there live so never noticed it and also Dubois would have still won, the lad made me some money that night!!!
Agree, but even as an AJ fan I don't get why he doesn't just go down and take a knee before the second knockdown (once his gloves touch the canvas). Took to much unnecessary punishment. One of my criticism of AJ are his survival skills once hit or hurt, he needs to be smarter by using either spoiler tactics (holding) or taking the early knee when hurt and taking the time to recover.
Hi. There is no '8-count' and hasn't been for years. I'm old school so I also catch myself saying '8 count' but in this thing you're talking about it would have been a '10 count' and it would be regarded as a 'knockdown'. There is no '8-count' in any major boxing orgs. (removed as a safety concern, around 15ish years ago). - Funny thing with that, by some orgs recommendations, in fact, if a fighters gloves touch like that BUT the fighter gets up and continues engaging (so, what we saw there with AJ) the referee can wait for a lull in the action and clean the gloves but NOT a '10 count'. So that one is a bit of a Referees call depending on what happens.
AJ has never used his size to build a dominant jab. He paws with it most of the time. Dubois throws with intent. The difference between the 2 jabs after just a minute and a half was vast.
Daniel Dubious is a class act, now everyone knows how good Usyk is (those who knew, knew anyway), Daniel is a world class champion and deserving of his position in the boxing world, I think he's the future of British boxing.
Parker didn't have any added bulk in his fight against Zhang. He tipped the scales at 112kgs but is currently 122kgs. We will see a new version of Parker on Feb 22nd.
DDD will be super dangerous in the first half but if Parker can stay in there i think Larker could absolutely take his heart later on. As good as DDD did against AJ, AJ was basically done after round 1 and DDD couldnt take him iut for a good few round. AJ then seriously had a good go so if a dead on his feet AJ can do that then Parker has a real chance because he has more heart and better punch resistance

I am a Kiwi. I like both these guys. Dubois is in seriously great shape - he is powerful, strong, quick, fit and hungry to do the business. He has especially grown from the Usyk fight and took it to him also. I really like Parker who has definitely come back after I had given up on him altogether. He has always been a good boxer who came into the HW very young, but used to lack the killer instinct and got lazy or was too careful IMO. Now he is in his best mental frame of mind and is seasoned with so many pro fights and the ups and downs with such a great trainer, a great boxing IQ. I sure think he has a big challenge with DDD, but I will back him.
Should be a great fight, I fancy Parker to stop Dubois somewhere around the 9th. Styles make fights and this new improved Parker will be all wrong for Dubois and will break his heart and stop him.

With AJ and Dubious I think its simply an age thing. Dubious in that fight reminded me of a younger AJ. Lady time does not lie and AJ is almost 10 years older than dubious with a lot more miles on the clock. Ain't no escaping time and age. Good on AJ for still taking these fights he could have easily sailed off into the sunset.
This fight is going to be MASSIVE. And I fully expect Dubois to end Parker quick and put a massive stamp on his champion status as the most aggressive, fit young destroyer of the whole division. Parker didn't have any added bulk in his fight against Zhang. He tipped the scales at 112kgs but is currently 122kgs. We will see a new version of Parker on Feb 22nd.
DDD will be super dangerous in the first half but if Parker can stay in there i think Larker could absolutely take his heart later on. As good as DDD did against AJ, AJ was basically done after round 1 and DDD couldnt take him iut for a good few round. AJ then seriously had a good go so if a dead on his feet AJ can do that then Parker has a real chance because he has more heart and better punch resistance
My bet is on Parker. I don't think AJ turned up and believe DDD is being overrated.

I am a Kiwi. I like both these guys. Dubois is in seriously great shape - he is powerful, strong, quick, fit and hungry to do the business. He has especially grown from the Usyk fight and took it to him also. I really like Parker who has definitely come back after I had given up on him altogether. He has always been a good boxer who came into the HW very young, but used to lack the killer instinct and got lazy or was too careful IMO. Now he is in his best mental frame of mind and is seasoned with so many pro fights and the ups and downs with such a great trainer, a great boxing IQ. I sure think he has a big challenge with DDD, but I will back him.

With AJ and Dubious I think its simply an age thing. Dubious in that fight reminded me of a younger AJ. Lady time does not lie and AJ is almost 10 years older than dubious with a lot more miles on the clock. Ain't no escaping time and age. Good on AJ for still taking these fights he could have easily sailed off into the sunset.
