it turns out that I'm from the same town as Rafael. Last year I was going to a Karate dojo in my town and I would see him there from time to time practicing. Most of the time he would work on his dodging. Back then I had no idea that he was this good. After this video I'm so encouraged to return to that place this summer.
I wonder who would be better, Aghayev or Biamonti in his best years. (Of course, I know that in 2004 Biamonti lost, but then i.m.o. he wasn't a shadow of what he used to be).
it seems to me that he lost the fight against the black dude, if you see very clearly all the points goes for him because the referees only rise the blue flag during all the fight, if not somebody forgot to show rafael's points in that fight
I dont like how they clinch , and then one guy relaxes so the other guy does a cheap shot. they should have continuous clinch til takedown like some of the full- contact karate. or no clinch. scoring after the guy is relaxed is kinda stupid.

En este tipo de competencias, se pierde la esencia del karate, lo tradicional de este arte marcial se ve suplantado por un ambiente de farándula, se parece a las peleas de boxeo que hacen en las vegas, con apuestas, modelos que anuncian los round´s, no agrada para nada. La crítica es para los organizadores del evento, mi respeto a los atletas...
good video, but the guy wasn't meant to win! he DOES NOT know how to fight, he has no style! no one in karate fights like that ducking and being a small b*tch even girls fight way better than him! i'm sorry but that's what i think :( but yeah otherwise great!

I am proud that Rafael is from my small city Sumgait / Azerbaijan and achieved such tremendous goals . He looks like Bruce Lee , does not he?
