I'm extremely doubtful about a new Vita. They are firing developers and downsizing fast. Triple A games are being cut. It's not a realistic time for another console. It seems companies are happy supporting just one console with mid generation refreshes. There is always the PC market and portable PCs. With the PSP/Vita developer community, they are just above any other handhelds out there. I'm still want to find 3DS, DS, GB, GBA, GBC homebrew.
Im doubtful too bu hardware isnt software, is it? They can just build it and If they would be able to pull off ps4 portable man they dont need to release single exclusive game for it and everyone would still buy it imo
Hey has anyone here tried the hallow knight port for the Vita? I really loved the game and if I'd be able to play it on the go its one of the reasons i want to mod my vita. So is the Port Good?
Man, I play my PS Vita Slim more nowadays than on my Switch OLED. Vita is very comfortable to hold and the libraries from PS1, PSP, and PS Vita are amazing. I also play arcade games on it, especially CPS1, CPS2, and Neo Geo at full speed (60fps).
I loved my PSP, but was blown away by my Vita. Modding it was the best thing I did. I've kept it exclusively for Vita and PSP games (i have a RG351P for everything else).
OH SHIT! Not you too 😂😂😂😂 You saw it too bruv!??? I just posted a video regarding this too 🤣🤣🤣 almost at the same time. Am glad you did too. This will be something to watch!!
Dude, a PS Vita is such an incredible little console. I've got SO many games to play on it... I would 10/10 recommend. Homebrew community is poppin forsure, and there are already tons of games on it. I just downloaded Monster Hunter Frontier (Japanese Version) and got the English translation patch, and then joined the Rain private server... I've been hooked and the population is huge on that game, surprisingly. It's crossplay too, so all the other titles work together on different consoles. Again... PS Vita is amazing. Just make sure you get a modded one. & I 100% recommend the OLED model because that screen makes a world of difference IMO.
I have a 2DSXL, A PSVita 1000 and a Switch Lite (all with CFW), not to mention a Steam Deck LCD. And for whenever possible I'll always opt to play a game on the Vita or at least on the Switch (Technically I buy the game on Steam and or used physical respective copies if exclusives). Honestly the OLED itself is the biggest factor. I hope to hear news about the OLED mod for the Switch Lite, that may be the turning point in replacing the Vita, minus the exclusives.
I grew up with the PSP and had always been a huge fan of the system. When Vita finally came out, it was revolutionary.. til this day both handhelds blow me away with how much they're capable of especially with the CFW. For me, it's the ideal handheld for the best possible price. That's subjective to others of course, but I never plan on getting rid of mine. Great vid! 😎👍
I really want to like my vita that I've had for years but I do have to agree with the other guy sadly regarding the vita's form factor and controls. I find I have to hold the vita in an uncomfortable/unnatural position to use the analog sticks and find my hand starts to cramp a little after just a few minutes - it's generally made worse too if I have to keep my fingers off the rear touch pad for whatever reason in the game. I don't love the feel of the sticks, dpad or shoulder buttons either really. It's such a shame because I love the work that the community have done on keeping the system alive and porting games over to it but I just can't play it comfortably 😥
Look into buying a grip for it. I recommend the PDP trigger grip although they’re kinda pricey these days. The trigger grip makes it feel like you’re holding a controller and it gives the L&R triggers an L2 and R2 feel.
I have both Ps Vita, and honestly, the Ps Vita is more worth it imo. I have three big reasons, one is build quality, Ps Vita is just better. Second is that a modded 3ds feels kinda... Fragile? I mean I always feel like something is gonna go wrong with the mod. Third is just the games, Ps Vita's library is just more to my liking. The only 3ds game that I really like is the MGS3 port, which runs at like 10 fps average.
Your take about the 3ds mod being fragile is a weak take. The modding on the 3ds line of handhelds is streamlined and easy. Both handhelds are awesome.
with the ports of games like soul calibur and grand theft auto Andreas its the best time to buy one ..just the anticipation of what's coming out next is worth buying a Vita as the Vita will never die

Mine's been worth it so far, but there are a couple games I've wondered if there are any ports for, specifically: - God Hand (Okami runs on the same engine, so they might have similar issues with being ported) - Unreal (there's TONS of stuff that uses unreal engine, so a port similar to the Xash one for GoldSrc would be awesome)
I have a modded vita and it helped me get through this Vacation im on, but i will say that honestly its not that comfortable to game on and i have small hands, the psp was more comfortable also the screen is too small as well but i want to make sure that its understood that i enjoy my vita and i think its a great system especially once it's modded, i just think now there are better options like the Ayn Odin 2 for example. And just for context i owned a steamdeck and I currently own a Lenovo legion go.
Doubtful Sony is going to make the new handheld backwards compatible. If you're looking for a handheld that's runs specifically on Vita hardware that's pocket able and running in decent frame rate, the Vita is still king as of Early 2024. Well until smartphones inevitably catches up.
Argjhhh im so confused between getting a vita or a nintendo switch lite, being a playstation fan i've always wanted this, but in the other side, i want to play persona 5 which is not available for ps vita😢😢😢 god i wish i can afford this 2 at the same time
As a psp 3000, ps vita 1000, new 3ds, ndsXL and Switch OLED owner, yes psp is more comfortable. But the vita is a fantastic console. Especially with the homebrew support. The application called VitaDB is enough on its own. In addition, being able to play PSP ps1 games makes this machine immortal, and if you have the 1000 series, with the oled screen. Ps vita will not die even if it comes in 3000 years. Personally, I would buy ps vita again instead of buying anberic devices. It is SONY's fault that it is a failed console, not the device itself.
And FYI FPS shooting on the vita is fine either turn down the analog sensitivity and use gyroscope if it has to I never had any problems playing anything on My PS Vita
Vita has been obsolete since Steam Deck released There's almost nothing on PSP/Vita that hasn't already been ported, remastered, and/or remade for other platforms The Dpad on the 2DSXL is easily the best possible DPAD design out there. I wish people would start using it smdh I've only ever handled a PSP as a kid, and I remember LOATHING the ergonomics. I hated the button/stick placements. AWFUL design. Thumb cramping. Compared to recently when I no-lifed my 2DSXL for about a month, I had no issues with the ergonomics. I never held it like a controller, more like a phone. Games like Metroid Samus Returns and Hyrule Warriors and Monster HUnter definitely required a grip tho

@@ZealousChuck For small sessions it's good, otherwise it's terrible despite being among the best d-pad out there. Playing BlazBlue games or Under Night on it made my left thumb hurt when pulling combos and special moves. 2DSXL is better although the games take quite a hit visually, don't know about the regular 3ds or new 3ds but if it's like the regular 2DS its just terrible, it's mushy.
Zelaous psp vita legendary user
My vita is arriving soon. I am way too exited to get my vita
Ciao, comrade. And great video about PS Vita like this, Chuck! But I don't care which better games library between PS Vita or 3DS. 🙂 😌When i'm play Aikatsu: My No. 1 Stage on 3DS and PSP Gran Turismo on PS Vita, play side by side on each consoles is the only thing to me and better in my opinion. 😁 👍
Name of the last game that you played in the outro of the video
Gow
Mine's been worth it so far, but there are a couple games I've wondered if there are any ports for, specifically:
- God Hand (Okami runs on the same engine, so they might have similar issues with being ported)
- Unreal (there's TONS of stuff that uses unreal engine, so a port similar to the Xash one for GoldSrc would be awesome)
There are not
I have a modded vita and it helped me get through this Vacation im on, but i will say that honestly its not that comfortable to game on and i have small hands, the psp was more comfortable also the screen is too small as well but i want to make sure that its understood that i enjoy my vita and i think its a great system especially once it's modded, i just think now there are better options like the Ayn Odin 2 for example.
I love my unmodded Vitas and PSPs. Physical games forever.
Vita is a lifer. It aint going away❤
Ey you! I don’t need to give a bad commentary to know there is something wrong with me!
Argjhhh im so confused between getting a vita or a nintendo switch lite, being a playstation fan i've always wanted this, but in the other side, i want to play persona 5 which is not available for ps vita😢😢😢 god i wish i can afford this 2 at the same time
Vita is a beautiful device. So much that I rather not use it cause I want it to last lol. It is worth buying.
Nice
Thanks!
And FYI FPS shooting on the vita is fine either turn down the analog sensitivity and use gyroscope if it has to I never had any problems playing anything on My PS Vita
It's not perfect but I mean it cant be compared to c stick
Vita has been obsolete since Steam Deck released
There's almost nothing on PSP/Vita that hasn't already been ported, remastered, and/or remade for other platforms
The Dpad on the 2DSXL is easily the best possible DPAD design out there. I wish people would start using it smdh
I've only ever handled a PSP as a kid, and I remember LOATHING the ergonomics. I hated the button/stick placements. AWFUL design. Thumb cramping. Compared to recently when I no-lifed my 2DSXL for about a month, I had no issues with the ergonomics. I never held it like a controller, more like a phone. Games like Metroid Samus Returns and Hyrule Warriors and Monster HUnter definitely required a grip tho
i cant find psminis in adrenaline like you showed i have them in my downloads file in vitashell is there a folder specially for them that i need to move them to? also orginal gta and gta 2 bubbles any help thanks
You gotta download them first
@@ZealousChuck I have them just don't show in adrenaline nor can I get the to play in retroarch ?
Way better handhelds out there. The fact that you can emulate vita makes its irrelevant now.
It's still valuable to trophy hunters though.
I want a Megaman Zx on ps vita 😅
It sounds to me like he is a guy who gets annoyed over small petty things, I don't like fussy people like that, but I don't want to comment further on that because I fear you will kick my ass. Love your videos chuck
😃🙏🤘
I stay away from my PS Vita... Yes, but only when need to take a bath or go to work. 😄
You bodied that hater
Crazy talk ‼️ The vita is an all in one. I can play games, watch movies, play music ,remote play PS4…Bluetooth not to mention im playing PSP/Ps1/PSvita games with the option of android ports yeah that man has to be mad about something. Closing argument‼️ buy a vita OLED and 2K they are both good
But I already have 2... I cant buy another in 2024...
Bro are u good? The PSP D pad is much better than PS Vita, unless u mean PSP1000 that one had bad pads but PSP 3000 D pad very good!
hey vita people, for some reason I cant sign into psn on my vita (keep getting the same message) anyway I could care less about the store but I cant connect it to my ps4, anyone know how to bypass this to be able to just play remote play without signing in or actually being able to sign in? psn customer support time perhaps?
Have you enabled 2FA?
@@ZealousChuck i am not aware of what this is,
i have a ps vita slim with an 8gb mem card and it was hacked the browser way.
i had previously hacked this same exact vita the old way a couple years back but this time not only was it faster but i already knew a bit about the whole process.
in short, after i had installed the bare necesities the only step i skipped was enabling sd2vita (because 8gb to me is alright also i dont have an sd2vita).
2fa u say?
@@ZealousChuck after looking it up yes of course 2 step verification, i now know an abbreviation
but yes ive done the whole scanning qr code and signing into my account through my phone to generate those passwords but still i just keep getting the same message over and over again.
i changed email, password, generated like 20 playstation passwords and still nothing.
im scared ill be locked out forever and not be able to remote play
Vita means life
Literally
I bought it in 2016
I agree that guy should not buy, or own a ps Vita while the rest of us love our vita.
Do PSP games look worse on PS Vita 2000 through the Adrenaline emulator than on PSP?
I'm considering getting a PS Vita 2000 mainly to play PSP games on it, but I've seen people say they look blurry, despite the resolution being exactly 2x of PSP's
Psp games look great to me. You gotta fiddle with filters
The resolution isnt 2x. It is same with Gepatch it is 2x but not all games are supported.
En los ajustes internos de la app adrenaline hay filtros muy buenos que mejoraron un montón los juegos de PSP, para acceder a ellos se mantiene presionado el botón del logo de PlayStation de la Psvita y se hace click en ajustes y listo.
@@ZealousChuck sorry, I meant the resolution of the display itself, not of the games
Thank you a lot
@@henryxxxcat thank you, reassuring to know
If you don't need a pc,shouldn't it be easier than psp
vita means life, 3ds means what?
Means one analog
Plus cstick🙃
*My vita is modded* I love it
There are subtitles pt br. Just turn it on and choose which subtitles
I think I'm gonna buy another vita and make musical instruments out of them and use synth programs and hook it sounds to computer and make a new art
Go for it
wut instruments🤷♂️
PSP games via Adrenaline look so blurry that it's a bit hard to enjoy.
GE Patch solved this issue tremendously by allowing you to play in native resolution, but it has compatibility issues and is seemingly discontinued.
can't you just play vita games instead. Psp games is for an older and a different device anyway
The games are perfect 2x resolution.
Psp games looks as good as on psp. Play with the filters or google best adrenaline settings
@@droo3010 you can play some psp games natively on the vita. They're available on the psn store. Plus I thoroughly enjoy playing psp titles and other retro titles.
Don't forget the psp also had the ability to play ps1 titles, would it be strange to play those too despite its availability?
Yup too bad it's indeed discontinued. Was quite disappointed when I realized that Riviera displayed a black screen (audio worked) using GE patch.
No hate with 3ds. Psp equivalent to 3ds. While Vita on par with switch. Funny. Sony just a 🤡
Yo tengo un ps vita slim mod japones y no oido con mi consola. Es muy genial y tengo un psp.
For what they go for nowadays just get a steam deck duhhhhh 🧟♂️
Can you get steam deck for £70?
Now that you mention it, just looked into vita prices and they have gone down in price exponentially. They were a couple hundred dollars not that long ago.
Yes it can still get Steam Deck, but only people who couldn't get as it now. For myself however, i will get a Steam Deck this year even if i still had a experience with Vita.
No physical game option on Steam Deck. All digital platforms are the shits.
@@PowderedVoltage Well there is the hard drive where the game store for Steam Deck, most likely can be stil copy though.
Switch has hwfly
My PS vita have 3g and i can put psvsd
Mine too
The guy have clearly not done his research😂
Knowledge is never-ending
por que esta madre esta en español XD
Pro tip: Get a raspberry pi 4 so you can play the vita on the big screen with vitadock+. That and the controller plugin, makes for a comfy night on the couch.
Got pstv for that🙃
Wer eine braucht, hat schon lange eine.
Seems like people are still buying, just look at this comment section
the clickbait title made me unsub.
Hahahaha sort out that hate 😂😂😂😂
Yea man many people are just miserable and they dont know any better than hate on things
DO NOT BUY the ps vita... so I can buy more. I HATE... how amazing the ps vita is. It SUCKS... thats i dont have a second one as a backup. Its SAD... to think about anything happening to it. All jokes aside, the joysticks does kinda prevent you from playing for long periods of time, and not a fan of the back touch controls. Ive had to replace both joysticks, upgrade the memory card a few times, but i will never sell this thing. Still my favorite console with new ports and homebrews constantly coming in.
Let's go🤘
The fact that it can't even emulate n64 well is pretty pathetic. Today emulating hand held under $100 can do it with playing color.
It has 512mb of ram, underclocked cpu and it was made at the end of 2011, what wouod you expect?
Just buy a steam deck at this point lol
Have it. Enjoying this more ua-cam.com/video/sWKFS2OMi64/v-deo.html
