So the lesson I learned is, get a beater fixer up and not worry about the beating.
Hopefully the frame was not bent. When the crash guards hit and are damaged it’s common to damage the frame as well.

Who’s insurance paid for it ?? Totally agree I do not get attached to material items ‘!!!
The other riders insurance paid out. They totaled my bike and a extra 10k for accessories. What a win for me.

How was it working with twisted road insurance, after the wreck
The renter used the other riders insurance
Did insurance cover the damage?
Sure did! It was worth it. I may wait till this spring to replace it
