Woodworm-The tell tale signs are sometimes subtle.

Woodboring weevil is generally associated with wood rot. This video explains some of the subtle signs of both. Woodboring weevil is a type of woodworm and as it generally infests timber with a high moisture content that is starting to decay the woodboring weevil is normally regarded as a secondary issue with the main issue being the fungal decay (wood rot). Eliminating the fungal decay will also eliminate the woodboring weevil.

Hi Simon, you are correct in that increasing the sub-floor ventilation will In turn reduce the moisture content of sub-floor timbers meaning that the fungal decay ceases and the wood boring weevil dies out. No need for chemical treatment. 👍
