The Way Of Kings is going to be a 13 books series? Whaaaa...? I just started the first book and had no idea I was getting myself into a lifetime commitment. It’s like agreeing to get married after the first date.
I think there's a mistake here, Stormlight Archives is a ten books series. Unless of course, we're counting novellas, there will be plenty of them I think. That said, as Sanderson said, it's Journey before destination! :D
WHOAAAAA ITS ALMOST THE END OF 2017?!?! I want to read The Power before the end of the year too, and I also haven’t gotten through The Romanovs because it’s so long! The cover is so beautiful!
I read The Power when it was shortlisted for the Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction over the summer, and I loved it! 5 star read for me - it's really thoughtful, harrowing and definitely keeps you hooked!
The Way of Kings is absolutly amazing! I'm currently rereading it and it always reminds me why I love huge epic Fantasy books and why I love reading in general. So excited for you to read and talk about wok!!!!
You mentioned so many books I’ve never even heard of, which is great! Also, I can’t believe you’ve made plans for 2018 reading already - I’m not even sure I know what I’m going to read next week lol.
The Stormlight Archive (starting with The Way of Kings) is my favorite thing from Sanderson's Cosmere so far!!!! It's so good, and I'm pumped for Oathbringer. Can't wait to see your reactions once you get into it because it's PHENOMENAL.
Snow!! So jealous! I'm excited to hear your thoughts on Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstances because that book sounds so good. I actually really want to get to the Darker Shade of Magic books before 2018. Everyone has been raving about it lately!
With the second question I turned to look at my copy of The Dollmaker of Krakow right as you held yours up... It's on my list of books that I want to finish before the end of November!
Great tag! I wanna read long books in December, so I might--just might--read Name of the Wind. Never delved into adult high fantasy so hoping this be a good start.
SO JEALOUS ABOUT THE SNOW!!! I still need to read Furthermore, heard all the good stuffs about it. Also - The Power is our book club read for November, can't wait to start it. End of the year is always Harry Potter reread for me so then I can marathon through the movies over Christmas period
There are a lot of books I have neglected, including some next books in a series, but I don't know if I'll get to them by the end of the year, especially with the holidays coming up. One of my problems is bigs book, I need to focus all my attention on, or at least most of it. I need to come up with a new approach for my TBR next year.
I'm currently reading The Naming and it's so much like the Hobbit! There's an ominous background but we get to see a follow along as Maerad travels and what happens.
I have a lot of books I'm still hoping to read before the end of the year: Five series worth! Specifically. . . 1) Books 6-16 in the Elemental Assassin series by Jennifer Estep; 2) Books 8-15 in the Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher; 3) Books 1-7 in the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde; 4) Books 1-3 in the Guardians Trilogy by Nora Roberts; and 5) Books 1-3 in the Soulwood series by Faith Hunter (to be read after book three is released on December 5th). And then there are the other books I need to read this year! Namely. . . 1) A book published between 1900-1950 for the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge; 2) The first book on my Goodreads TBR (it's a "swan" book by E.B. White; the title escapes me); 3) At least FOUR books for Swap-Bot swaps, including The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman and Lost Under a Ladder by Linda O. Johnston (second two are yet to be determined); 4) The next books in the Cal Leandros series by Rob Thurman, the Stormwalker series by Allyson James, AND the Weather Warden series by Rachel Caine; 5) The other two Interlibrary Loan books I have out from my library; 6) Redder Than Blood by Tanith Lee, which I've been reading for a couple of months now but STILL have yet to finish. So, I have a LOT of reading to do. But unfortunately, I'm not much in the mood to read. 😕😢😭 So wish me luck? 😃😄❤ Great video, Regan! Fun tag! 😍😙❤
I read The Power and I didn't really connect with the book as much as I wanted to :/ I think it was because I had a completely different idea of what the book was about or going to be like that I just couldn't get on board with what was actually happening. I'm excited to hear your review of it though!
I have no time to read anything but school books right now, so really I just want to finish all the books I had to stop reading because of school, before the end of the year. I also want to read Markswoman by Rati Mehrotra, because I got an arc at work and I kind of want to read it before it comes out in January, so hopefully in the last 2 weeks of December I can just power through and read all the books!
I need to read The Way of Kings as well in so pumped I'm lates reading Magnus Chase I'm on the first book (sooo funny). Any great pics love them great ideas THANKS.
Such a short cute tag, really like the idea! And I also need to get to Romanovs, actually now you really inspired me to go pick it up even tho I had other book plans for tonight :D
I think you would like the books of Keith Donohue. They have very mystical, magical settings that make the mundane feel magical and the more magical things feel mundane. They usually have deeper layers and I find the writing very enjoyable to read ever since his first book 'The stolen child' came out years ago. A book that goes into changelings and who are the protagonists really, where do they come from? His newest book is a retelling of the Orpheus myth set in Quebec, but with puppets (it's called 'The motion of puppets). It also references the guy who did research in movement and made those horse drawings that look like a galloping horse when viewed at the right speed. It was very cute and romantic and sad at the end (not a spoiler, the myth is generally well know, but I was shocked in how it was worked in, definitely not for younger readers).
I'm reading A Conjuring of Light too! I only have 200 pages left! So close. It'll be sad ending the trilogy. Also, I only started reading A Darker Shade of Magic a week ago and I ended up binge reading the whole series. I want to finish Dracula by the end of the year and I want to read another Jane Austen book because I just reread Pride & Prejudice in October. And Renegades by Marissa Meyer because I just bought that yesterday.
I'm currently finishing up The Woman in White by Wilkie Collins (which is definitely one of my favorite books now!) and then I'm hoping to read All That She Can See by Carrie Hope Fletcher (my favorite magical realism author!), Secrets for the Mad by Dodie, and The Lady in the Tower by Alison Weir (an Anne Boleyn biography) by the end of the year xx
I really need to read The Way of Kings as well, but it's so long and daunting and I get scared thinking about starting it and not being able to finish it. I hope you can get around to it soon!
Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson is coming out tomorrow, the 14th!! My pre-ordered book is on its way to me, and I can't wait to read it!! I also think it's a 10 book series.
You will fly through the Way of Kings and its sequel and Oathbringer :D. It is so rich and immerses you straight away. It won't even feel like a chore :)
I'm kind of ashamed too say this but I still haven't finished Acowar yet! I bought it in May. I was able to buy the audiobook in June. And I'm still reading it. Sarah's book take me forever too read!!! I'm 550 pages into so I'm almost finished with it! Hoping to finish it this month or next month!(:
I have a few books piled up that I started but never finished (the hobbit, out of Africa, to kill a mockingbird). I would love to read them before 2018 comes along!
Regan I love your hair! I want to read Six of Crows...it's kind of ridiculous I haven't read it and I might be the only person. Also, I'm recommending The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic to you. Amazing trilogy.
I need to finish The Assassin’s Blade so I can finally read the rest of TOG. I just caved and got it on Audible so I am hoping to finish Queen of Shadows, Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn before the end of the year
I'm new to your channel and I'm already obsessed with it❤ I was wondering if you could write in the description box the names of the books you mention?❤ It would be very helpful🌹

It's nearing the end.. and i still need to read 10 more books for my reading challenge, oops. Im currently reading The Order of the Phoenix and for some reason I'm having trouble getting through it and i don't know why !! HELP!!
I'm just finishing #GirlBoss by Sophia Amoruso - really enjoying it, think I might use it for my work placement diary! Just started a book given to me by my university called Room by Emma Donoghue - not sure if I like it, but I'm gonna read it until I get home. Also hoping to start, and maybe finish, Twilight New Moon before the year is up!

Literally can't believe it's already (almost) halfway through November. So many books to read this year.
I'm so happy you're reading Way of Kings next year! I love Brandon Sanderson!
You mentioned so many books I’ve never even heard of, which is great! Also, I can’t believe you’ve made plans for 2018 reading already - I’m not even sure I know what I’m going to read next week lol.
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on the Naming! One of my favorite series from when I was younger, hope you like it this time around
This year just flew by! I'm looking forward to hearing your opinion on The Power 😊
Regan,
I can't believe that it's almost the end of the year. Omg. I don't even know what to do. Hahaha. I absolutely love your videos.
The Stormlight Archive (starting with The Way of Kings) is my favorite thing from Sanderson's Cosmere so far!!!! It's so good, and I'm pumped for Oathbringer. Can't wait to see your reactions once you get into it because it's PHENOMENAL.
I absolutely love Alison Crogon's works. I've read the original quartet, but not the prequel (yet).
Greetings!!! I can not wait to Oathbringer book 3 of The Stormlight Archive, it will be out on November 14, YEA !!!
Snow!! So jealous! I'm excited to hear your thoughts on Beasts of Extraordinary Circumstances because that book sounds so good. I actually really want to get to the Darker Shade of Magic books before 2018. Everyone has been raving about it lately!
It can’t believe the year in ending in just (kinda) a month! It’s gone by so fast
I KNOW IT IS CRAY
With the second question I turned to look at my copy of The Dollmaker of Krakow right as you held yours up... It's on my list of books that I want to finish before the end of November!
Great tag! I wanna read long books in December, so I might--just might--read Name of the Wind. Never delved into adult high fantasy so hoping this be a good start.
I totally need to do this tag soon! But I for sure want to finally read Northern Lights before the year is out 👍🏻
I can't wait for you to read the way of kings! But it's a 10 books series (+a novella), not 13.
SO JEALOUS ABOUT THE SNOW!!!
I still need to read Furthermore, heard all the good stuffs about it. Also - The Power is our book club read for November, can't wait to start it.

So wish me luck? 😃😄❤
Great video, Regan! Fun tag! 😍😙❤
I’ve been making my way through War and Peace, but there’s no way I’ll finish. It’s an easy read/listen, but I only pick it up when I’m in the mood.
I read The Power and I didn't really connect with the book as much as I wanted to :/ I think it was because I had a completely different idea of what the book was about or going to be like that I just couldn't get on board with what was actually happening.
