Look at how they treat her, not what they call her. Actions, not words. She calls them aunty and uncle, not mum and dad, but it doesn't matter because she respects them and has a good relationship with them. My mother in law wanted to be called mum, so I did, but she was awful to me, so I stopped calling her that and eventually had to cut contact with her and all of my inlaws. Allahumma barik aunty and Sana, you have a mutually respectful relationship and I believe it always starts with how the new daughter in law is welcomed into the family. If they don't include her and give her an important role as the son's wife and mother of their grandchildren, she will never want to treat them as family. A lot of people use mum and dad for their inlaws but just in name, they don't actually have good relationships. They probably put bahoo in the title to be specific and is it actually a good thing because they could teach their generation a thing or two about how to treat their daughters in law. MashaAllah may Allah always keep them happy. ❤
