I just had brass and aluminium parts from the templates cut. Made a beautiful piece. Used some thicker rubber bands and added two springs for a stronger shot. The springs can swing out for a lighter shot. I melted crayons down and mixed them with magnetic putty. Used a silicon mold to reshape them. They stick to metal surfaces very nicely.
you could make an elastic band system connecting to the cocking system, triggered by the trigger. The trigger could not only cause the round to fire, but also cause the elastic band system to cock the gun for you, transforming this into Semi-Auto instead of Bolt Action

This is very impressive! I have always loved cardboard prop weapons. But to find one with all the functions as this one, and as a tutorial with templates, is amazing! It looks very nice. Challenge: Make a bullpup rifle like a aug or something, maybe even a P90. Also try to keep the mags adaptable to each gun and make high cap mags like drums. Edit: Make a sniper rifle too and make bigger rounds for it

You should have added a spring/rubber band system, to pull back the slide when you pull the trigger lever, so it would automatically reload a round into the chamber.

It turns out he is using Cynoacryllic glue (or CA glue). Super glue may not necessarily use cynoacryllic material as a primary ingredient. If you use even the thinnest of super glues it will just sit on the paper.

It's possible. I have done this with a servo motor exactly with this same gun.
