I so like the way the interviewer archeologizes.
I must definitely read The woman Warrior.A person who so to speak speak at Birth no matter what language.A heavy weight to shoulder.Fortunately Maxine was able to alchemize it and share it...

She claims she could talk when she was born and spoke in poetry? Really? Not a fan of hers and have been you tubing to hopefully gain an appreciation of her. This just sells the pretentiousness of her with statements like that.

I don't think she's trying to sound pretentious. Imagine a child showing interest in sports or dinosaurs, that's how writers begin to understand what they enjoy, too. You can discover that words rhyme before you're able to spell them. I'd say don't give up on her.

Actually, if you were paying close attention to what she is saying, she says her MOTHER claimed that. And I don't think it was meant she was literally reciting Shakespeare when born. She is one of the great American authors of our time as far as I am concerned. Have you read any of her books?

Children write poetry in school, and I wouldn't think it would be too out of the ordinary to gain a liking to it then.
