I really love the Pz IV S, had it for 5 years now, more than 10K battles and more than 23M credits Farmed on it (also still 74% WR) Very good gun, exelent a little low alpha but still penable the entire Tier 6, some of tier 7, armour is a little troll on sides, but average is bad, flat and low Thickness and it can be damaged in sideskirts where it even pen the Tank hull itself the Strong side of this tanks is the Gun, High DPM (for tier 6), 4 secs reload, Good penetration, Exelent precision the bad is the Armor that only had in the mantlet and speed that is very bad but its normal for germany
Sadly not the best armor(angles too) XD though it does depend on the tank, the VK, heavy is actually a good front tank but is a bit slow and doesn't really defend well on light and mediums because of the speed.
Also any tank if given the right situation can kill a T10 or higher tier tank, I mean I've had a skirmish test with an M6 and was bouncing higher Tier shells even though it's an easy loss
I have 2 face and 2 can kill The first face off is 60tp vs kranvagn and tvp 50/51 Vs progetto 65 The first of the can kill is 40tp vs 60tp and strv/42m vs kranvagn I forgot this face off 50tp vs emil2

Why didn't you hit under the gun? You can bounce trap the Maus easily, usually the top of tanks are weaker
The only reason why the Maus didn't die so quick was because it was moving the opposition team should have easipy disabled the tank more often

Smol Amx 12 t can kill maus with higher armor piercing bullets but can't penetrate front of maus you need to shoot at maus body
