Dear Morgan, thank you for what you play, how you play, the way you tune, the way you record, and the endless inspiration!!! This video makes me want to throw my kit over a bridge, buy a Gretsch kit and practice 24 hours a day! Seriously!
of course,i think that's why he chooses Gretch...I don't know if a lot of modern drummers as Minnemann,Donati,Coleman,Royster and more know Christian Vander..I hope and i m a Huge fan from France!!
Fuck!! My Chronicles have been written. The eggs is done. Saw and heard Morgan in Forshaga (SWE) -17 and it actually sounded just like this. Me and my pal argued over the best sounding kick drum. Me: 24" He: 26" - Still I know I was right : ) And those cymbals....
@@davemcclelland3164 dude..........I need to check that shit out. Thanks for saying something. With all the availability of music via the fucking web it's overwhelmed my radar systems and shit sneaks past me all the fucking time. I miss studying up on whats happening at the book store in Terrorizer or Guitar player, or S.L.U.G. the local mag where I hail from, then going across the parking lot to the cd store and picking through trying to find the bands that I knew I'd probably be waiting until I could make it up to the city, and potentially still have to order it but sometimes I'd get lucky. It was a hell of alot more fun. It took effort and the payoff just seemed like something worth more than what a streaming service offers. But I digress........I'm going to kneel my old ass down in front off my www dot gods that I pay my tithing to and suck some magma through the web.
Really one of the most unique drummers ever. Nobody does what Morgan does.

I gotta wonder where he got that MAGMA poster in the background.
He performs on the most recent MAGMA studio album. Mats/Morgan did opening sets for MAGMA as well.

Is it only my system or does the 22 inch sound a lot punchier than the rest?
It's tuned and dampened differently for a more rock/pop punch. If it were to be left wide open it would be more similar in decay to the others.
MONSTER!
Morgan is jesus
Only 3 bass drums? Amateur
Buddy Rich heroes eat your heart out.
