How yall feel about reo's character?
Even I think reo should have no to nagi making him realise abt what he did
But also on another thoughts because of reo, nagi scored
I really like the character, but i dont like the decision that he made in the manshine vs bastard game, like ok nagi explained himself and you know that you did some mistakes as a friend, but you didnt have to go back to being his right arm ( at least that way )

Reo is genuinely a very interesting character ... Considering how he could've gotten away easily without struggling and grinding so much in bluelock by taking over his dad's business . But just because he's so rich ... His motivation is to create a name for himself not to be spoon-fed for the rest of his life

Personally I'd say Reo's mental health was easily the thing that actively redeemed him as a character. If he was just Nagi's supporter then he would be treated just how Ness is currently treated within Blue Lock, a supporting character who gets disrespected and their skills disregarded. My only real complaint for Reo's character is that I wish he had a bit more time post U-20 to work independently from Nagi and that Nagi had more personal time to develop his more proactive plays. With that said while I wouldn't call Reo my favorite I do like him as a character and I think his weapon is by far the best in the series up to BM and Ubers for right now.
This is what Im saying, reo developped so well after nagi left. He still wanted to play with him but during the manshine game he was going to prove that he can play alone and be nagi's equal so they can get together later. But nagi did nagi things and reo did reo things
Reo has proved that he can fight by himself. I say no more.
I wouldn’t say Reo is mentally weak necessarily but more that Nagi is his WEAKNESS.
He’s been portrayed as a v rational and confident person before the “break up” and this was the event that emotionally compromised him. He’s had many obstacles thrown at him during the spin-off and light novel which he took in his stride and only made him MORE excited to challenge them. Contrasted with the way he broke after Nagi leaving just shows just how much of an effect Nagi can have on him.
I absolutely love Reos character and his struggle succumbing to very human emotions immediately drew him to me! He’s my favourite character and watching his journey throughout the manga has been amazing.
While Reo probably shouldn’t have gone back to Nagi during that match I’m more excited to see what will happen. It’s too early for Reos development to end here. He’s not got his confidence and bubbly personality back and I still think he’s still got some healing to do, especially because he and nagi haven’t talked about it yet. The inevitable downfall of the duo would force them into more growth later in the story imo which I think is necessary.
I really like the way you put this, he didnt really have any mental state issues until nagi left. Ever since that happened, he got dark and depressed. Isagi helped him a lot throught that so Isagi really a goat😂 But reo finally moved past it and I think it wouldve been better for both of them to reunite more naturally later. I love nagi but he isnt really a good person and reo is making bad decisions as well. But that makes them more human and enjoyable in my opinion.
Reo would've become a monster if it wasn't for Nagi and the author

@@disaster261no, their performance together is better than their individual performance as it would for any pair who works good together. It was clearly shown that both Reo and Nagi got a lot better(especially Reo) when they were separate

Imo, he would be way less interesting without Nagi. The fact that Reo is the only one to adamantly reject EGO's philosophy is very interesting. He is not one to submit to the facility and actively tries to make other prodigies the star of the show. We've seen that soccer is the only sport he is mildly interested in, so the fact that he wants to win the world cup speaks for his tenacity.
I think Reo becoming independent after the 2nd selection, only to go back to Nagi during the Neo-Egoist league, is a much more interesting development than just giving up on Nagi. It seems like he genuinely enjoys soccer with Nagi more than potentially winning a world cup without him. They're the only duo still remaining in Blue Lock with this mindset.

I hate that nagi asked him for help and that nagi is suddenly is not able to make his own plays ,like actually everytime nagi gets proactive he scores in every other arc. i thought the point was for both of them to become independent in way both are not useless without the other.
Reo would have not scored in my opinion as rin's was reo best shoot he copied n couldn't score with it
(Maybe reo could have copied chris shot)and isagi is most definitely smarter than reo,
But i think reo can be a better mid fielder than isagi and always passing to nagi and isagi magic nerfed him
also the nagi situation sucked but i also think that this makes reo more of a sleeper because if none of his strikers can score the goals he sets up he'll be fully capable of doing it himself using all the techniques in his bag to score. he is a team in one character. I think something will happen to make Reo develop his better mindset because the power ups aren't over for the main characters that will win the world cup. not by a long shot.

Reo isn't even finished yet. He is only an A tier in every category but he will soon most likely be and S tier in every category as once you hit 90 it changes to S as Aryu has 90/100 Defense as S tier.
In the story it was stated that Reo may never achieve 100 in any category and will always be limited to 99. Reo's stats aren't even in the 90's yet and people are down playing him like I highly doubt that he has even used any of the techniques he's copied at 99% because the skills would be limited to the stat of whatever category its in. Rin's technique would've only been at 82% of 100%, Sae's dribbling only at 83%, Defense at 86% etc etc. wait till his stats hit all S tier then see what's gonna happen. Reo's gonna have Sae level of passing and dribbling, Rin's shooting and whoever else he copies and i guarantee that he's gonna learn how to shoot with his off-foot as well as he's the perfect one to do it without ruining his body like kunigami said can happen to isagi.
Reo will be S tier in all Stats by the World Cup bro, and it makes perfect sense for him. Reo will not be able to be stopped by a single person at his full potential, it will take a combined effort. He is an Gem that is gonna become unreplaceable and if he was trying to be a striker he'd be the perfect person to be solidified number 2. The story gave such an flawed character the most broken and dangerous ability because he'd be apart of the World 5 in no time and would destroy blue lock if he had the mindset of isagi and the story would be boring to read after he was the best in a couple of months.
The numbers arent necessarily correct but I get your theory. it would make a lot of sense for him to get to that point. A bit like kise in kuroko no basket with his perfect copy.

I think reo becoming a more mid feilder/suporting role for nagi is both the best as a player and person because reo's entire thing is not to follow the path his parents set out for him so why would he follow the path blue lock set out for him instead he fought agiesnst the main philosophy to creat the strongest chemical reactions in the serious also playing as a suporting roal with his copy ability being unable to to be reach 100% or even behond that he cant really exeal on his own instead be utility anywere on the feild and do that job well if he needs to get the ball up the feild copy sae's or bachras dribbling, defense aikus shutdowns , and if he needs to score goals rins arc being a suporting player gives him more opportunities to shine as a player and succeed on the team.
He doesnt have to follow the path blue lock set for him. It wouldve been perfect for him to stay a midfielder that doesnt necessarily focus on 1 person. He could just completely control the field.
He doesn't really have to be a supporter for Nagi but I see what you mean. These two have already proved that they aren't necessarily following the whole "one person ego" thing; both of them want to win the World Cup. That's their goal. Nagi's might be becoming the best striker (i don't remember LMAO) but Reo's has been for the most part just winning the World Cup. Either way, I love that these two don't really fit the mold and they're still shown to be absolutely insane :D
