Thanks for another great lesson Carl! 🤘
I love Def Leppard! They are also one of my absolutely favorite 80s bands. Its difficult to cover their stuff because of the layers. I wish I had your talent to bring it together! You're a phenomenal guitarist and teacher Carl! Thank you!!!
I was so glad to see you playing Orion on "Art-of-the-guitar" collab video. Besides the lessons that I absolutely love, I'd love to see more videos of you playing a random song or a vlog or something more often.
Another appreciated lesson from the 365 beast...iv prolly said this 100000000 times next lesson will be 100000001 but thank you for all you do I wouldn't be close to what I am on guitar if it wasn't for you.....keep rockin🤘🤘🤘🎸🤘🤘🤘
Great lesson. They have the strangest style, but they were so good and polished and I bet it is hard because they have aoany layers of guitars they played thru that Rockman ♥️🤘♥️
Guitarists Steve Clark and Phil Collen were masters at crafting a slew of simple guitar layers to create a much more complex sound. However, this can present a problem when trying to perform the song live. So for that reason, this transcription is sort of in between the original studio recording and thier live "In The Round" performance from 1988. Really! I always thought it would be very difficult to get the guitar parts...for the same reason! So, I never tried, more than the power chords..but....also I hadn't seen tutorials either! Thanks a lot, Carl, and I hope you are doing Photograph, or Hysteria, as well !
I love those '80s song lessons! Do you think you could do some more Queensryche lessons someday? Take Hold Of The Flame would be an awesome one! It's pretty hard to find an accurare lesson (hell, I've seen the intro played in a lot of different ways and the rest of the song is not always so easy to figure out). Thanks for another awesome lesson! I love Def Leppard!
Like most Def Leppard songs, there's so much more going on in the background. Phil Collen talked about having to figure out a way to play Love Bites in concert on the Hysteria tour. They hadn't intended on it, and it wasn't part of the setlist until halfway through the tour when the song was released as a single. They spent their downtime to figure what parts to play and what parts to leave out and what parts to mix together in order to get the sound of the album onto the stage. All that being said, I would love to see Carl's take on Women, one of my favorites DL songs. Along with Work it Out, Run Riot, Love and Affection, and Desert Song, just a criminally underrated rocker.
Thank you Carl - another killer lesson Some great songs on the new album would be great if you could do one please. Keep holding out for some LA Guns also. 🔥🤘🎸
Kind of a similar story that you described why you dont do many Def Leppard lessons, but could you do a "Don't Look back" lesson from Boston, also many guitar layers but live they can play it with just 2, and i havent seen a single great/complete lesson online.
I came here to ask for more Def Leppard and see this. How do you read my mind so well? Speaking of Def Leppard though, I highly HIGHLY suggest you check out Stagefright. I think its possibly their most underrated song of them all. If you made a video covering it that would be amazing.
Hey Carl! I was looking around for a good lesson on The Last in Line by Dio, I’ve learned best from you in the past and it would be greatly appreciated :)

Much love from Canada, Carl!
Yes!! Def Leppard is such fun to play. More classic 80’s hair metal please! 🤘😎
Great lesson. They have the strangest style, but they were so good and polished and I bet it is hard because they have aoany layers of guitars they played thru that Rockman
