Miss Memphis is the world’s most adorkable puppy, she is so broken for a Husky, she has little to no drive to escape, no destructive nature and she rather be a snuggle buggle she’s my favorite dorko on all the internet!!!
My dog got into chocolate twice. She ate two huge chocolate candy bars and another time she ate a whole pound box of chocolate chip cookies. I called the emergency vet phone number and they said that if it was milk chocolate it was okay but I gave her hydrogen peroxide because they said it would be a good idea too. Charcoal powder is good to have on hand for humans too. It’s good for different digestive issues and if someone happens to overdose on medications. I’m glad Kira is okay!

Glad she's okay. This is why my huskies haven't been running loose in my backyard lately. Our weather makes SO many mushrooms, all different types. So I been using their leash and taking them out just to go potty. As for charcoal - I buy "Old Mother Hubbard" dog bones in charcoal and give it to them occasionally or if they eat something they shouldn't

I just had mine surveyed as well, turns out the neighbors fence is over a foot onto my lot... Tons of work moving fences. Good luck guys, stay cool out there in the heat!

The same goes for your kitties, everyone! Some store bought mushrooms can be safe for them to eat (check with your vet first), but there are many wild mushrooms that are poisonous to them. So please, if you have an outside kitty, a barn kitty, or take your kitty for walks, make sure they’re not eating any mushrooms.

I'm so happy Kira's okay. And I didn't know about the activated charcoal for dogs.( We had to say goodbye to our dog recently.) I will let my daughter know though. 🐾❤
I feel your mushroom anxiety, we have had to do the same thing. They are extremely bad this year, we live in Whitehall over by Muskegon and we have tons of them. We have to check the yard 3 times a day because they grow so fast. Our Husky doesn’t mess with them, but our 9 month old pit puppy wants to chew on them when ever she can find one!! It’s like a never ending chore everyday!!

If you are only having a few types of mushrooms a local college to you should be able to help you identify them to make sure none are toxic to the dogs....mine in my yard are edible so far. Keeping charcoal in hand is a good thing for both our 2 and 4 legged kids.
I get it with the mushroom thing. In the Pacific Northwest, the rainy season starts in late September-early October, and during October and November it rains buckets and buckets. In October, giant beige mushrooms start growing all over the front yard. There's always one mushroom that's huge, its diameter being wider than my hand. A cluster often grows by the side of the front walk, but you can find a mushroom or two all over the front yard. We also get a fair number of really thin, small mushrooms that are dark orange and have thin stalks. The shrooms last for about three weeks, then start blackening and dying off. My dog never eats them (though she does eat cat "burials"). Don't know if they're poisonous though, but I'm not taking any chances.
I always thought it was about 70% or 80% of mushrooms that were poisonous. But thinking about it, I guess humans wouldn't have developed the activity of mushroom foraging as much if most were poisonous. Besides, most animals, bacteria, viruses, and a significant percentage of plants are not harmful to us either, just a minority. But still, you can't always be sure which ones are harmful.

I keep seeing these mushroom stories going around! Scary! That sucks moving the fence! What is that like 3 feet you'll gain? We had plenty of fence issues, I'm so over posts, breaking up concrete, digging holes, etc. Got a new one hopefully it will last a long time!

Naughty kira. My dog had a wild mushroom and she was fine. She had a scare and my parents thought it was something bad but it turned out she is fine. My dog has 2 lumps . 1 on her leg and 1 on her chest and we are going to the vet next Tuesday aka my birthday hoping its a fatty tumor

Yes, they are cemented in, you have to dig around all of that cement and pull up the pole cement and all, and then you can add a bit more cement in the new hold to secure it.

When you talked about pulling the mushrooms it gave me a pretty wild idea: perhaps you could plant some edible mushroom that would out-compete all the other mushrooms?
But that might train the dogs to munch on random mushrooms... so probably not a good solution...

First when I saw this video I was so worried But then I saw She's ok I was like Phew (If I missed spelled Please tell me 🙂)
So we moved in a new development and moved in before our neighbors behind us. They put in their fence. Their fence company put the fence on top of our sprinklers. It's become a thing and we ended up getting a servey and a report done. Yeah they are on our property.

I keep activated charcoal just for my dog. We sometimes have toads in the yard at night and he has bitten them more than once in the past. The activated charcoal has saved us an emergency vet visit in the middle of the night at least once.
Omg! My twin kira when I was little we were at ceasers creek and I ate a mushroom. And my parents had to talk to a park ranger to make sure its not posinious. The park ranger said I would be fine. And that is how me and Kids are twins lol!!

That means that they already had babies and they left if that happens then I would check if there is anything in it, if they were not there for 15 or 14 days then either they did not have babies or you just came out when the mom bird was not there I hope this helps love u guys 😊
