Thalassemia. In the episode "KONG's arduous journey to regain his wife's health - Do everything for family", from 24 minutes onwards.
In addition to gallstones, she was diagnosed with Thalassemia, an inherited blood disease which destroys the red blood cells which carry hemoglobin and oxygen. The disease affects the bone structure and vital organs including the spleen which becomes painfully enlarged and will eventually require surgery to remove it. Thalassemia patients must receive multiple, usually monthly, blood transfusions that are required to temporarily control the anemia and replace the destroyed red blood cells. They experience weakness, fevers, swelling and nausea and must take iron chelators to remove excess iron from the body as a result of the multiple blood transfusions. Gallstones are common among patients with Thalassemia and will also require surgery to remove the gall bladder. There is no known cure for Thalassemia.

Ok, help me understand something…why is it that whenever Kong cooks a meal for his family, he never cooks what I would call a “COMPLETE” meal? I mean he usually cooks a meat and rice but never adds any vegetables…I’m only asking because I notice he does have a garden and most of his family when they cook their meals add the vegetables which provide essential nutrients especially for such hard working people. Not having these nutrients in your diet could lead to deficiencies that will often leave you sick…Better to eat a balanced meal than to keep going to the doctor for medical treatment and medicine…

I only asked this question because I noticed that they were getting sick often or needing medication often for what looked like viral infections. My point was that if they had the vegetables in abundance why not eat them often because it can only help them live healthier lives…I was just trying to point this out not trying to cause a fuss.
