Prioritize Artifact containers on your suits and consistently hunt for artifacts. I got lucky and found a Compass artifact (one of the best in the Zone) in Lesser Zone, it has maximum physical protection with maximum radiation debuff. I mitigated the radiation with a Slug and Thorn, put all 3 in an OZK suit and now Bloodsuckers are hitting me for 80% less damage, bullets glance off. Artifacts completely change the game dynamics, you will find others that give you unlimited stamina, +50 pound weight limit, health regen etc. Keep at that artifact hunting and it pays off big.
@@Krenisphiamost suits have it. U need to find the blueprint in the world for lead lined containers. U need to find a tech that can install it. And of course a chunk of cash
@@Krenisphiarng?? I’m pretty certain they are specifically placed and not random, you gotta go somewhere specific to get them Historically, you keep one of each, because eventually, you’ll have grabbed all of them that’s on the map
@ but they don’t respawn tho correct?? Other than ennemies, nothing does That’s good to know tho, I thought I just got lucky finding the right spots immediately when I started
For branching paths, it only seems to restrict the vertical options. My Viper has the top "extra barrel rifling" selected, but the third upgrade column that is only connected to the bottom option is available as an upgrade. So the branches don't seem super restrictive, only asking you to pick the top or bottom in each column, regardless of previous choices. The required upgrades section also name both prior upgrades, and say "or"
Love this guide. Have you seen anywhere that we can track what blueprints we have? I know I’ve collected a few but I have no idea what they are because I don’t see them in my PDA anywhere.
Thanks for the guide. Does the armor upgrade change its appearance? I understand that this will most likely not be visible on the Skif, but I like visual progression. By the way, the obvious advice, which not all begginers know about - the weapon has different shooting modes and if you need accuracy on automatic weapons - transfer it to a single shooting mode. Also, for a certain type of enemies, certain types of cartridges are suitable, like armor-piercing. This is from the experience of previous parts, I can’t enjoy Hearth of Chornobyl yet
do you eventually get money enough to repair ANYTHING? I'm in "garbage" zone atm and can't afford a single repair. Just dropping stuff on the ground once it breaks.
What the spot for the helmet you can't go to it is there supposed to be night vision or a better flashlight I've seen some npc have nvgs on there helmet
Kinda impossible to progress when everything is massively overpriced. All my good guns i end up dropping cause the repair prices are astronomical compared to what im earning.
I was suffering massively on repair costs until around 25 hours into the game, when I adjusted how I was playing, and started taking less damage. It's still rough when I do the really long runs, but if I can make it back to town every couple of hours I am usually netting 10k or so per run.
lol my skif's pistol has been missing for over 40 hours.. good riddance. hoping you got over your fast travel woes. much respect learning the game! (that swamp mission took me over 4 hours on veteran. godspeed stalker.)
What is up with repair cost in this game?!? I’m 10 hours in and literally selling everything I can, extra med packs and bread even lol just to get enough $ to repair my shirt. 🤷♂️
@@Renfail I would if I could see the enemies lol. Anyways, loving the game. Played all nite. Great video sir. Had no clue about the weapon mods/ tier upgrades.
Happy to help!

Interesting! I may have mised the "or" when I was reading through things.
Hell yeah, Renz! I'm loving the game and your videos are making it easier. Thanks, Stalker!

Yep. I adjusted how I play, and now I take less damage :)

STALKER 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What gear progression? There isn’t any. I used the same bugged armor drop from an enemy throughout the entire game
Did you even watch the video, dope?
there are container upgrades that negate all the negative effects from artifacts btw
there are artifacts that reduce rad debuffs as well.
