Thanks for the video, Leila! My two cents: If you"Excel" in a corporate job and want to show off your Excel skills, talk to your Learning (HR) team and offer them in-house training. That's the most effective way to bring values to the organisation, and getting people to know your values. :)
I learned Power Query from your course and it's been transformative in my role as a consultant. Still learning and I reference the course to sharpen up. Great channel and I think you are a wonderful instructor.

My wife and I are big fans of your channel. You've saved my so much time over the past few years and I thank you for that! Do you know a workaround to specify what window view the tab opens in? I've tried Microsoft and they suggested java and the API which I'm not currently an expert at. I use multiple windows of the same workbook and the behavior of opening a selected tab to a random window is beyond problematic when I'm collecting data from one window for another and I never know which window will be replaced by my tab selection.
Yep. Agree. My tutoring income is actually pretty good (everything is relative of course!); The only thing is excel on its own doesn’t help much for tutoring, but it’s a great tool to use in a variety of courses. You got me thinking about Feb 2024 :)
Hi Leila, I discovered your site accidentally and love it, including your style of educating as it is helping me get better at using Excel. I have seen in your videos and others that the use of merged columns is discouraged and wanted to know how to handle this when I need to group a series of rows that collectively form a unit of transaction. e.g., if I am tracking expenses across multiple events across multiple sites, I am using a sheet where individual expenses are grouped under a single event id, which along with other event-level details are shown as a merged row (e.g., event id, event location, total expenses etc). May be you have already done a video on this and appreciate your guidance. Thanks
Thank you for sharing this. I am a novice when it comes to Excel, but this makes me want to learn more about it to develop that skillset. Awesome video and thanks for the value!
Got a Google Sheets question. I'm writing it here on your most recent video post so you'll see it. Is there a way to create a drop down list with sub drop downs. Right now the only thing I can find are dependent drop downs which involve a separate column of data/choices that opens up when you make your first choice. What I'm talking about is when you hover the cursor over the drop down menu choice and you automatically get a sub-drop down list to choose from. When you make your choice from the sub-drop down list it populates your choice in the original column. Not a separate column of data to choose from.
Hello mrs leila , Thank for the videos , Honestly, I have found ways to solve most of the problems on Excel because of your videos, presenting your videos and explanation of something simple. I have a problem with VBA and I have not found a solution for it yet. I use a macro in Excel and the code is for the filter. I will show it to you in the next comment, but my problem is that I did not find a solution to resist the sheet.
