- At present, according to the exchange rate set by Bangladesh Bank, the exchange rate for one dollar is 89 taka. On the other hand, in the open market or Kerb market, every dollar is exchanged at 94 to 97 BDT. Even in the 3rd week of May, the Kerb market had an exchange rate of trading one dollar at 101-102 rupees per dollar. However, 1 year ago, in May 2021, the exchange rate per dollar was 74.80 BDT. In the last year, the taka has lost 4.6 percent of its value against the dollar. However, in the nine years timeline from 2012 to May 2021, the taka has depreciated by only 3.38 percent against the dollar. Not only BDT, but also the currencies of the world's top countries like the UK, Germany, Australia, and Canada, and including our neighbors like India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, have lost their value against the US dollar. For example, in the last year, the UK's pound sterling and the Euro have lost 14.29 percent and 15.85 percent of their value, respectively, against the US dollar. In this video, we will explore the reasons why most of the world's currencies, including the Bangladeshi Taka, are losing their value against the dollar?

যদি আমরা এটা করতে যাই তাহলে পুরো বিশ্ব থেকে বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতি বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে যাবে। আমদানি রপ্তানি বিনিয়োগ তলানিতে পৌঁছাবে। যদি আমাদের দেশের জনসংখ্যা কম হতো তাহলে কোনোভাবে কৃষির মাধ্যমে দেশকে টিকিয়ে রাখা সম্ভব হতো, কিন্তু আমাদের ১৮ কোটি জনসংখ্যার দেশে এটা অসম্ভব। দেশে সকল ঋণ আর বিনিয়োগ বন্ধ হলে সকল বিদেশি কোম্পানি দেশ থেকে কমে যাবে, ফলে বেকার সমস্যা খারাপ থেকে আরো খারাপ হয়ে যাবে। এছাড়াও আরো অনেক সমস্যা রয়েছে। এসকল কারণেই বাংলাদেশ কেনো, কোনো দেশের পক্ষেই এটা করা সম্ভব নয়। আশা করি আপনাকে বোঝাতে পেরেছি
