I love Pittsburgh. From the first time I travelled there - this would be in 2002, on the GBS Sea Of No Cares Tour...Pittsburgh was, I believe, my 5th or 6th show on my very first GBS road trip - Pittsburgh has felt like a place of possibilities, fittingly so, I suppose, for a City of Bridges, a town where when people found it difficult to get from one place to another, they simply built a bridge to make it happen.
Rising to the challenge is what Pittsburgh seems to be all about. I have always left Pittsburgh feeling a bit more hopeful than I was when I arrived. Pittsburgh was a very good place to see GBS; it is a very good place to see Alan and his BBB. And given how healing such Places of Possibilities are for the souls of all weary travellers, I'm pretty sure Pittsburgh was a very good place for the band and crew too (their visit to Primanti's likely made it even more so!).
