Thank you so much for the video. I have not had much luck with Orchids. I don’t have a suitable area for my growing. I live in Florida and I don’t have a covered area to have my orchids. It reaches about 100 degrees in the summer and very humid here. I’ve tried growing them in the house but, my husband keeps the temperature very cold in the house. I may try moving them to our front porch when the winter is over. Hopefully that will work.

Thank you for sharing! It's great that you're trying to find a solution for your orchids. Florida’s climate can be quite hot and humid, so when growing orchids outdoors, be mindful of protecting them from direct sunlight during midday, as this can burn the leaves. To address the indoor temperature issue, you might try placing your orchids near a window with indirect light or using LED grow lights indoors. I hope that when you move them to the porch, you’ll find the perfect spot for them to thrive!

It’s normal for orchids to grow slowly, but if you want to encourage faster growth, here are a few tips that might help:
Light: Make sure your orchid is getting enough light. Orchids need bright, indirect sunlight. If they’re not getting enough, their growth can slow down.
Watering: Over-watering or under-watering can both harm the plant. Water your orchid when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Ensure good drainage, as standing water can lead to root rot.
Fertilization: Feed your orchid with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer designed for orchids. Fertilize once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) and less often during the dormant period (fall and winter).
Temperature: Orchids prefer temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C). Ensure they’re in a stable environment, not too hot or too cold.
Humidity: Orchids thrive in high humidity. Try placing your orchid on a humidity tray or using a room humidifier if the air is too dry.
Repotting: If your orchid has been in the same pot for a while, it might be time to repot. Orchids should be repotted every 1-2 years to refresh the growing medium and allow room for root growth.
Be patient! Orchids grow at their own pace, and with the right care, you’ll see healthy new growth soon! 🌸
