MBest11x i could listen to you telling stories all day bro. Sometimes I think I’ve done a lot of badass stuff and then I listen to you guys! Then not so much!
Sgt. Best, I first "discovered" your channel in '13. After watching a few vids I called my childhood best friend/Ranger buddy (10-97) to tell him about it. I later found out, that phone call pulled the pistol out of his mouth, and your videos helped keep it out and gave him something "good" to talk with me about. Thank you sir for helping me (although unbeknownst to you) help him and us, he is now married with two beautiful kids.
Both you guys are awesome. This country is a better place because of you two. Thank you both for your continued service to our country. God bless you both and God bless America.
I'm a coffee roaster and a gun guy. I am simply in awe of what Mat has done with BRC in such a short period of time. I've lately gotten hooked on Adam's podcasts and videos and have a lot of catching up to do. It is a fascinating look into a world I have never experienced.
I have been saying thank you for your service to any military personnel that I see. For me it is respect for what you do and the sacrifices you all give so that I can have the freedom to garden and cook my heart out in the comfort of my own home. My father was in the Air Force, my husband was in the Army (rest in peace Sweet Baby) and several of the men and women I went to school with were in the service also. The thing I notice about military people is that they are more well rounded. People who never leave their own "bubble" as Mat stated, are very much lacking in sensitivity of other cultures and people. My husband was in Korea for over 2 years, what he learned there was just how great America is. I'm beginning to believe that everyone should have to give 2 years of service for their country. Not necessarily war service, you can build wells for communities that have to walk 5 miles one way for clean water. Some sort of service to better your understanding of just how great you have it here in America. I love Mat Best's humor. I got into BRCC because of his hilarious videos. He always makes me laugh. I love that. I will be buying your book, and I wish you both much success in your future. J in Oregon
I remember watching the rogan episode where he told you to make a UA-cam channel and I’m glad you did, interviewing veterans like Matt is a great idea too. I’d like to hear more about your books and experiences that translator story was nuts I could see it in my head.
This and Dan Crenshaw are my two favorite Cleared Hot podcasts to date. And that says allot, considering the top notch visitors to this channel. Great work Andy.
I never knew how to respond to people that thanked me for my service. I felt like it was hard to know what to say when someone is thanking you for having the time of your life. I can't remember what I was watching but, someone thanked the service member for his service and he responded, "thank you for your support." I felt like that was a good response.
I've been in since 1984. I turn it around. "Thank YOU Taxpayer.. You bought me the ticket for this all expense paid Adventure Ride." "Without You Taxpayer.. We are just folks with Bad Attitudes and Sharp Sticks"
Wow, that was awesome. I am so glad to meet fellow servicemen who were Special Outfits that didn't brag about what bad asses they were. I also loved Mat's book. I understood the humor, especially the part about almost losing your friend, and then finding out they were fine, and laughing your ass off. It gets rid of the fear of almost losing them.
Just started watching and words can't describe how excited I am. Both these guys are some of the most interesting, intelligent, and great people in the public eye. I'd give up a body part to be able to spend a day with these guys. Can't wait to read Matt's book.
From what I know of SF and Rangers The best way I’d describe the difference is SF is a scalpel and Rangers are a samurai sword. Both super sharp, but one is for surgery and the the other brute force, but with expert precision. Great show as always Andy and Mat.
If you want to train a rebel force to take an airport in enemy territory you send the green berets. If you want to take it ourselves you send in the rangers
Back in late 70s, my HS library had Leatherneck magazine. There was an article about new USMC boots. They were suede/rough out brown. It mentioned the WW2 rough out boots. It never came to fruition. During my time, (86-90)I kept wishing for those boots. But similar to old timers who can brag about being in the brown shoe Army, I can say I was in the black boot Army.
Only 2 minutes in and maybe this is revealed later but I feel like this was recorded at a Marriott Property (most likely Summit Watch) in Park City Utah. That mirror on the wall is very distinct.
Well...no good reasons come to mind on why I haven’t been watching Cleared hot have watched Andy in other pods..I admire how self aware he is and respect that...this pod was awesome..have watched Mat here and there on the interweb and think he’s funny as shit..with that being said..next time I’m at my job and thinking about complaining or complain about life I definitely going to think of Andy’s story about tandem jumping into Afghanistan and what he had to do to get to the ground from a haho jump..good shit fellas thank you for your service 🇺🇸
ANDY I really like it when you divert to Instructor Stumpf. Could you maybe do more of this? For example at 23:00 Mat misread the question and you hit a very instructor like reset on him. Or on Rations and wine Buck asks if he could have a different drink and you gave him the Buds instructor soft, hard, no. It's super cool to see how the instructor can play on emotions to invoke a response like that and I guess it's just an interesting look inside the challenge it is to get through seal training, and not just physically.
I can sincerely and without evasion say that I never had a problem with my GPS. It was a small sheet of paper and a round metal object. Left SO in '88.
right there with ya, bro...azmuths, resections, back azmuths, contour lines, etc., etc. I'd prefer old school methods...although land nav can be tricky in the terrain feature-free desert. :)
The more I listen to him talk the more it's like I'm hearing Deadpool speak. Matt Best really does sound like Ryan Reynolds! It's uncanny. He's definitely got the same sense of humor as Reynolds and that like-minded view of seeing the world and various experiences through the prism of humor.
I'd be stomping on bears. You guys have clearly never fought a goose. Imagine that but 8ft tall.. the wing span would be insane. Great question. bahahahahaha
Mat Best = "dude did you see that dudes head cave in"... Reminded me of Platoon, "Holy Shit! Did you see that fucking head come apart man..." HAHAHA GREAT INTERVIEW!!
Great podcast. I really enjoy them. I get the feeling that you’re not a big fan of O’Neil. Would be interesting to see you and him sit down and have a respectful conversation.
I’m glad you guys appreciate Jameson’s whiskey as imho it IS the BEST whiskey that’s mass produced ever. This is coming from an ex army British guy so I’ve tried them all. Trust me Jameson’s is the best. N used to great effeminacy for my ptsd.
People actually use white shoe polish a lot for their golf shoes... the only reason I know that is because I used to be a locker room attendant at a private country club and members would drop their shoes off at the desk to get cleaned and shined up everyday
There's definitely a "quota" for BUD/S. There aren't enough draegers in second phase for anywhere near everyone from first phase. Our class had to have several people rolled back from pool comp (It's still a subjective test. they can make it as hard or as easy as they want) because we had so many get through HW.
The only thing I’ve ever known white shoe polish to be good for is drag racing. Mark your number and class on the window, and blot the wheelie bars if you have them. That’s literally all I’ve ever used it for..
Thanks for having me on Brother! Honor to be able to sit and talk with you!
Hey matt, I pre ordered your book via audible but it doesn't give a date. When's it coming out?
MBest11x i could listen to you telling stories all day bro. Sometimes I think I’ve done a lot of badass stuff and then I listen to you guys! Then not so much!
MBest11x appreciate what you do for your community mat
Mat, super cool that you are in here responding to folks. Very rare and much appreciated by the community!
Thank you Matt,love the videos.

Hooah brother! Keep going day by day!
💘 right in the feels.
If Matt would have joined the Marines like his brothers he would probably have a badass crayon company right now! Semper Fi.
Bahahaha too busy taste testing different colors to sell them
Semper. GET TO THE CHOPPA, GET TO DA PUUSSY
I haven't eaten crayons since lunch time
"chuckle heads" ... that's one to remember. Another great podcast thank you.
As a "civie" this is such an insight awesome.
Cant believe Mat hasnt been on Joe Rogan. He's already a big BRC supporter!
Yeah, it boggles my mind. Joe's had just about everyone but Mat on the podcast. Maybe he's intimidated by Mat's hair.
Came on Rogan recently
@@jimjohnson3865 didn't talk much though. Evan did most of the talking. Good pod though. Rogan needs mat just by himself or rudy reyes.
@@nickmedina3674 WE LOVE YOU FRUITY RUDY
It would be a great career move for him, but Joe Rogan flip flops on his opinions even more than Fauci

"bear sized duck neck!" - one of the best lines I've ever heard

How the fuck did I not see this over the last three years?
I am trying to catch up on some of these older shows. This was a good one. And heck yes that was the way to end it!
"His little toesies touched first"... sent me 😂😂😂

Loved the commentary and everything about this video. I don't know how best to convey it, but "Thank you for your service".
I just hit 👍 button before listening cuz I know the podcast will be legit as always.
54:55 lol I love the Bryan callen part
"Violence of Action" is one the best books that I have read in the past 3 years.

If Ryan Reynolds ever has a biopic made, God I pray Mat is the first person they hit up 😂
Mat Best is fantastic military(ranger) and very good, fun singer
Q: Where does a giant Navy ship go when it gets sick?
A: To the Doc.
I'm Navy vet stationed on board the USS Carl Vinson cvn 70 the one that buried good old bin laden as a Navy swcc

Koding Krusader Yeah. The Horse Soldiers - book & movie - pretty well defines SF.

I had a guy in my commissioning class nearly 40 years ago attend Ranger school as a leg. Not everyone there had been to jump school.
Really good content here! Great job Vet team. 88M roll hard!
The old Laidy they alluded to who almost fell out her harness goes to my church lol she sat behind me on Sunday 😂
Andrew Tomasetti lies bro
Isn't it true that when navy seals need help, army rangers answer the call? Really enjoyed your book mat
