I'm trying to keep my crying really quiet here, but this is seriously one of the saddest things I've ever listened to. I was genuinely shocked when Patroclus died, started panicking when Phyrrus denied him being buried with Achilles and cried when Thetis at long last set him free, so they could finally be together. The goddess, so cold towards matters of men, showed the most humanity in the end. What a brilliant work, I will treasure it forever.
Everytime someone likes this comment i want to come back to this and cryy and feel all the pain and the final relief from the endingg.. i would never allow myself to forget this . And special thanks to you for reading thiss.. nothing can match thiss istg nothinggg!!!!
Girl came through in the end!!!! 😭😭😭 Thank you so much for reading this. Discovering youtube audiobooks has been a life-saver, i can read stuff i've been curious abt for the longest time where it's accessible and free without worrying how much money i can spare
Three days. My mind was tethered to this narration for three days. My throat clenched at the weight of THEIR story, and your delivery, pace, and voice dragged me through their years on Trojan soils till the final "the end". It was then when my voice scraped my throat as the flustering pressure of grief, relief, and joy escaped me. Seriously... you are amazing!
I want to say thank you 4 this i listened to all of them and just fell in love with this book it was a true emotional rollercoaster ur story telling is so beautiful I really appreciate it thank u so very much this ending had me literally sobbing it so sad and beautiful.
I am wrecked, this was beautifully read. I am so thankful that you read this, bringing life to the characters and leaving such a promising impact on my reading/ listening experiences.
I’m on the last chapter, I loved this book and I’m sad that I will never again read it for the very first time I hope one day I forget all about it and that I’ll be able to read it again for the very first second time, even though it made me so sad it was so beautiful I thought a lot about my own mortality and how even though I could live a thousand different lives through books and stories once the books are finished it’s back to my room and I am me again, this sounds so dramatic but I loved this story and the way it felt to be Patroclus. I’m gonna go finish it now ...
I tried reading this book a couple months ago but I have such a short attention span and it doesn't help that it takes a while to get into the story, but I was determined to finish this book, and today I did, thanks to you. Your audiobook really helped me get back into the book so that I could finish it on my own, so thank you very much. You did a wonderful job and we're all very grateful for the effort you put into making this for us.
I had the exact same issue as u and thanks to this audiobook I was able to experience the story This was beautiful to say the least, thank u so much Jennie J!!
I thought it odd that the Greeks obsessed over the Trojan war. Now I get it. Your voice, your character voices: perfection. Thank you for the gift of this narration
I hated Thetis most of the book but I really felt for her in the end. At least she came through and finally seemed to accept what Patroclus and Achilles were for each other. This book destroyed me. Thank you for uploading this!
Just finished your audio reading within the past week or two (at least an hour every night be that’s the only time I can make for it) and your voice was wonderful to listen to. I am crying for the ending where the two finally are joined together at last. Having already read this novel years ago and this being my favorite book, I thought an audiobook would be a good idea. Although yours is not an official audiobook, your interpretations of the characters brought them to life more than I could have imagined. The pacing is just right, the emotions you brought through each character, and the way you read it as poetic as Madeline Miller had written it, matched beautifully. I think you should be proud of how well you did.
i started this just the other day and it is all i can focus on, you’re narration is wonderful and was part of this becoming my favorite book, thank you.
I just finished the audio (but not the sobbing ofc). I wanted to thank you for ur effort in making this. I loved the fragile and gentle voice of Patroclus and the childlike tone of Achilles that always caught me off guard, and all the interpretations of the character's voices. Also thank u for making me feel less alone in this journey, stranger :')

Thank you so much for this reading! Your voice is absolutely enchanting and the emotion can be felt throughout. Please never give up on what you do. You make this world a better place for many of your listeners.
oh gosh thank you so much for this i really wanted to read the original version and not a translation but due to covid i could not find anything that would arive in time. Your narattion is really magical i felt each character alive, and after the end oh boy was i sad i haven't cried reading a book before. I cried so much it was a happy ending but still just the horror oh patroclus being trapped so many things.I am definetly not able to focus at school today. Thank you again Jenny
I just want to say thank you so much for this series. Your voices, pacing, and phrasing really helped me feel alive in this book and connected to the characters. It helped me finish it while cleaning my room, even with tears in my eyes 😭
I just finished re-listening to this for the third time & your narration it’s just so amazing-you convey so much as Patroclus & your voice for Thetis is close to terrifying.
Thank you for the amazing narration. I read the first 16 chapters and was so bored I couldn’t continue. Started listening to your audiobook and ended it in two days. The audiobook really made it easy to stick to it. Truly Grateful 🙏 ❤
I haven't been reading for fun in years, but I heard a lot about this book and decided to pick it up. God, what a story. Thank you for a beautiful narration Jenny, you really managed to bring the characters to life :,)
I just listened to every one of these for the past 12 hours and I am now done the book. I am a sobbing MESS this book is so good. Thank you so much for this!!
Wow seriously thank you, this book is a piece of magic unbelievably beautiful and full of life lessons, thanks for sharing this with us, I'm really grateful, now I'm I'm intrested in knowing more about the greek history 🥰
Today I learned I can be just as entertained, if not more so, by listening to an audiobook as I would be watching a great movie. I was on the edge of my seat listening to the last several chapters as the story neared the end. Thank you for your narration.
Three years, I have heard of this book and the story of Achilles and Patroclus for three years. I had never been able to read it for myself. I then saw the book on the shelf this year, and tried to read it, but alas I cannot read it due to a processing disorder. I then listened to this narration while I slept and dreamed of the story. You have done a fantastic job helping me understand this beautiful story, and I thank you!
This is so beautiful and expertly read. Your voice has so much emotion, when when you're just narrating, all of these videos were truly an experience! Thank you.
i love how Pyrrhus acts as if he grew up with his father, as if he even met him, he has no right to speak for him. For he is just a leech for his father.
What an absolutely impressive and breathtaking reading. I am beside myself with how beautifully and clearly you read this stunning tale. I cannot imagine anyone who could take done it better or more right by the characters. Brava!!
Thank you so much for making this. I listened to all parts and fell in love with the book and your voice. You present the book perfectly. I listened to this every night before going to sleep. During the day I couldn't stop thinking about the book and I was so excited to go listen to it in the evening. One again, thank you for this beautiful experience, I will definitely listen to the whole book again and again until I get sick of it.
Thank you for this because it helped me finish the video faster because I am a slow reader and this was great because i can read it while listening to it. The ending really strucked me so bad like that will stay with me forever
I’m going through a reading slump and have been trying to find ways to finish this book without jumping to the last page. This did it for me. Thank you❤
omg what an experience this was, thank you so much for bringing this story to life. I literally have never been this attached to characters, you did an amazing thing.
Thank you so much for uploading this. It was such a heart wrenching experience and yet I wish I could listen to it again for the first time. I am in awe of your talent, you brought this to life with immense skill!
Thank you, for your effort and your commitment, I wouldn't have wanted to experience this book in any other way than with your voice, the delivery was perfect. Thank you, thank you truly
Thank you so much for doing this! your voice reminds me of another person I used to listen to reading books from the library as a kid, and it's very soothing. I started listening last night, and listened the whole way through, I'm so glad, and so wrecked. brb crying, looking forward to listening to some of your other work.
If those last 2 sentences weren’t included I wouldn’t have known what to do with myself 😭
SAME I WOULD LITERALLY NOT EXIST ANYMORE
Me tooo!!!! 🥲😭
Three things this book proves:
Bri is a badass
Pyrrhus is an asshat
Pat and Chilles are in love.
Yes definetly

OmG Achilles's son is fucking crazy
He’s jus a leech he should have no say in what happens since he barely even knew the Achilles
Oh I was a sobbing mess after this. Such a wonderful book. thank you for reading! I will be looking forward to more books read by you!
