I noticed you didn’t have the driver door opened at first, but later you opened it during the programming process. Does the driver door need to be opened for programming or no?
This threw me for a loop. Was doing a key on my aunt’s 2017 Fusion. The KM100 said something about the alarm being active. Obviously, I didn’t want to set of the alarm in the garage and deafen myself/family or wake up my uncle. I waited to do it until later. When I eventually got to it in a parking lot somewhere, the alarm didn’t even go off. So weird. I guess if you turned on the car recently it’s off?
This does not appear to be an Autel key. The Autel keys have an extra programming step. You have to go into the “Universal Key” setup button (top left on the home screen) and choose the make/model you are setting it up for. Hope this helps!
I had a question if you happen to see this: Did the scan take about 40 minutes? I was attempting to do this on a 2022 mustang and it kept failing but the estimated time would’ve been about 40 minutes, though it could’ve been because of my hotspot connection. I’ll be attempting this again once I can get to a spot with a better connection

With no active alarm it doesn't matter if door is opened or closed

Have you done a 2021 F150 or newer? Couldn't get the KM100 to work, it kept saying "Security Failed"

Is this one of the Autel keys ? I bought an Autel key and don’t know if I have to follow another process ? Or do I have to buy a regular ford key

There is no update fee for the km100
If i only have one key i can program another key?! Because i see a lot of videos says you must have two keys to program a new one is that true?
Yes. Only need 2 keys if all keys deleted

40 min is to long. Check internet and hardwire vci to km100

If active alarm, I recommend fdrs over aftermarket key programmers.
