    Shlama.
This is an Assyrian wedding. The people at the wedding are Hasnaye from the Assyrian city Hassana (the name comes from the Assyrian words "hasna" which means "cliff". The village is located on a cliff on mount Judi/Cudi in South-Eastern Turkey in the Bohtan/Sirnak/Silopi area..) The singer is a Kurd from Silopi (the closest city to Hassana). He was a guest at the wedding in Belgium and sang some songs. This is how the people of the Sirnak and Bohtan-region dance, no matter of if they are Assyrian, Armenian Kurds, Jewish or what ever.
Hasnaye are all 100% Christian and they speak 100% fluently Assyrian (Syriac).
They never fled Turkey at the time of the Assyrian genocide 1915 and lived in the village until 1993, when they were forced , by the Turkish Government, to leave because of the war between PKK and Government.
Khaya ganokhon- Alaha hawe mennokhon. Khaya Athur!

Many turcomans also, the big tribe « Tatar » in hakkari şırnak mountain. There are many also turcomans from there who are migrated in big cities in Turkey. Today when a guy say « i'm turk » it is seen as "being nationalist" when it is a people like the others 🤷‍♂️. In south eastern Anatolia, there are many ethnicities, there are not that kurdish, aramean, arab and armenian

Assyrians from Sirnak ( Botan Region )
Assyrian villages that belong to the Botan region are : Cinet, Umra, Hessana, Krim, Herbole, Bespin, Meer, Hoz, Ischy, Baznaye, Geznakh, Bahrinci (Incoye) and many more. Please forgive me if I forgot a village. The Botan region lies between the Tur Abdin region and Hakkari.
    ( Mardin = Tur Abdin region )
    ( Sirnak = Botan region )
( and of course the Hakkari region )
    Cinet - ( Bagpinar Köyü )
    Hessana - ( Kösrali Köyü )
    Umra - ( Aşağıdere Köyü )
    Geznakh - ( Cevizağacı Köyü )
    Herbole - ( Aksu Köyü )
    Meer - ( Kovankaya Köyü )
Nearly six million Assyrian Christians dot the world.
Mesopotamia is the homeland of the Assyrians. The famous royal cities of the Assyrians, Ashur, Nimrud (Kalhu), Arbela, Dur-Sharrukin and Nineveh were built in it. The Assyrians ruled for approximately 1,300 years - from about 2000 B.C. to 612/10 BC - in northern Mesopotamia an ancient landscape between the Euphrates and Tigris rivers. A clear reference to the existence of the Assyrians, on the other hand, can already be found in the Old Testament (1st Book of Moses 2:14).
    There it says:
    * “… the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. The fourth river is the Euphrates..."
One day we will return to our country. Assyria belongs to the Assyrians. Isaiah 19:23-25

I read an article about music in Urmia in 100 years ago that stated during the survey that all the music in the region, such as Armenian, Azeri, Assyrian, etc. are alike, but only Different Kurdish music has been distinct and has its own characteristics.
