I use this timer for anything and everything I need to time, I love it, this timer has a great look to it and has a good firm feel too it. I have bought so many others and they just stop working for no reason at all and it is not because It dropped on the floor or others using my timers, I just think timers in general are not made like they used to be. My mom had a timer by Sunbeam R. and she had it for over twenty years and she used it so much and she dropped it all the time and it just would not stop working. I inherited it and used it for a long time. When it finally stopped working I went to buy another one and they were not even built the same. they no longer had a back to cover the inside workings and if you drop it its going to break. Company's have gone cheap!! that makes you go back to buy it again and again. Good luck with your timer!
