I love both Montale Honey Aoud and Floris Honey Oud but find out all about the differences of these two fragrances and find out which one I prefer more than the other? I have been hooked on Floris Honey Oud since I got it...it’s gorgeous!! You described it perfectly. I think the animalic tone in Floris Honey Oud comes from the honey instead of the Oud. I am finding that I enjoy oud with gourmand notes. Great review!
Just got me a 50ml bottle Montale honey aoud and its so good!! Oud,Honey and cinnamon I always get compliments when I wear it.
My Friend, Floris Honey Oud is absolutely fantastic! I received a bottle for Christmas and wore it to a number of Black Tie affairs. Heads turned all night at each event and I was asked what I was wearing. It has also become a scent for my more important and formal business meetings (suit and tie). It makes quite a statement. I have not had the pleasure of trying either fragrance. But right now, my favorite fragrance in my collection that is heavy in the honey is Diptyque's Volutes EDP.
Both are under my radar for quite some time now. Thanks for this review Sebastian, will really help me on which one to purchase

Honey Aoud is a great once and I'm so glad the Fall is here so I can rock this one along with Intense Cafe. I've never tried Honey Oud, but it's on my to-sniff-list. Enjoyed.
I have only tried two honey fragrances , Back to black and I own a bottle of Pure Havane and liked Back to black more. I think I need to sample Montale Honey Aoud.
That Floris sounds more unique and like you said not so boring, because the Rise might set it off to be nicer on the nose 👃. Oudh can get boring big time...... Oudh here in Houston Tx is made for our only 3 month winter ❄️....
I blind bought Montale Honey Oud once you reviewed it. I really feel speechless about this Fragrance, not only that it smells amazing and it’s such a monster in terms of performance and longevity, but also for some reason this fragrance makes feel so good, it calms me down, it’s such a great great cologne, I think it’s more masculine but I could be mistaken. Thank you so much for reviewing it.
I first got a sample, then eventually, a full bottle of Floris Honey Oud based on a prior review of yours. Love it. I have not smelled Montale's version. It sounds very good, as well, but love my Floris Honey Oud. Thanks for the vid, Sebastian!

I got Montale Honey Aoud, and I haven't forget that you recommend me Floris Honey Oud is on my radar i will get it this fall, i will let you know wich one i prefer, also i like anything with Honey or OUD like Back to Black or Straight to Heaven by Kilian. Let me share an annecdote with you all, i keep my winter and more expensive fragrances in a dark curio in their boxes and every time that open that curio the smell that comes out of there is so damn delicious that sometimes i open it several times during the day just to enjoy that honey, leather Oud like type of smell. Lol.. Cheers!

Perfect timing ... Florist Honey Oud was sold out on Lucky Scents was gonna buy the sample yesterday. I'm looking for a sweet fragrance this winter. I drenched myself in Bond 9 New Harlem last fall/winter. BTW my Oud fall scent will be Tom Ford Oud Minerale.
This is a big difference in these that is the price. The Floris is much more expensive and the Montale can be had in 50ml too.
I ended up grabbing the Montale and it is very nice. Remind me a lot of PDM Oajan, which for the price (and massive longevity) I think makes it a great deal. The oud in the Montale is fairly subdued, it comes out in the deep drydown for me but is never "barnyard", far from it.
Love honey. Montale would be rough fragrance? Montale I have few and all are rough type and tried in Dubai the fresher one to not the smooth kind. Floris brand never ever tried but assume it would be smooth fragrance?
Does montale have anything smelling fresh like mancera cedrat boise ? They have so many to choose from . I don't own any montale fragrances but I like their bottles . I mostly have alot of mancera perfumes which is owned by montale so they say lol
Yes Intense Pepper is a fresher option

It's a pity that Montales and Manceras are not available here. Have not heard about Floris brand before and not sure if they can be found here. Will surely try them out when I have the chance.

I have both of them and love them equally. For me, the Floris is more classy, elegant whereas the Montale is more fun and casual. The Montale is more flexible thought as I could see myself also wearing it with a suit. Maybe not a tuxedo, but the Floris could easily. On the other hand, it will would be overkill wearing the Floris while dressed casually doing Netflix and chill.....even though I do that. LOL

Have been very curious about the house of Floris. Any guidance on where a middle-aged man should start with the house?
I have the Montale Honey Aoud. It's a nice strong oud scent for sure. I am very interested in Floris Honey Oud but I find some sites list it as a unisex fragrance and some list it as a women's scent. Just curious if the Floris has a feminine lean as opposed to right down the middle unisex. Any info would be appreciated. Nice review by the way. You are dead on with the Montale review.
I think it's very unisex nothing extra femme about it. It's def a gourmand oud scent. Please check it out get some samples or decants. I think you will enjoy it! :)

Can you look into Swiss Arabian Shaghaf Oud Azraq? It’s at jo a shop down and is in the same vein as these with a current score of 4.9 on Fragrantica. Limited edition proved right now at 34$
Both are nice but the colder it is, Montale gets the nod.
What is your thought on this one against Dior Homme Parfum? Which one would you choose if you could one pick one of the 2 i just mentioned?

Oh, yes.
I just made this comparison on skin the other day! I got decants of both since the combination of honey and oud piqued my interest. Out of the two, Montale's Honey Aoud actually works better on my skin. On me it's sweeter than it is animalic, and I love it! Floris Honey Oud is also a great scent, although for me it reminds me of a really luxurious hand soap--the reason being is because there was a hand soap I used to use and it smelled a lot like Honey Oud! My favorite scent with oud (although it's more heavily amber based) has to be my original cold weather signature scent when I first ever started collecting.. 24 Gold!

I lean more towards the Floris simply because of the rose note. That's why Black Auod is my favorite aoud/rose accords.
Is the oud in floris medicinal at all?
Medicinal? Not to me but then again I love it so much I don't experience medicinal! :)

A designer scent that has honey in the notes is Cartier L'Envol which you might try. I have a few videos about that fragrance on the playlist. But a few others include Back To Black and Chergui with honey both are tobacco and honey! :)

Floris Honey Oud is definitely the best compare to Montale. No doubt.
The montale is to animalistic for me. Its also tough to wear. The floris is great. I love the rose in the background. Super sexy

Am I the only one who doesn't like Floris Honey Oud? Doesn't work for me. Seems like the notes are fighting each other and don't do the composition justice. Seems the rose doesn't belong for one thing. Never tried the Montale. I guess noses are variable and subjective. I had a similar reaction to Guerlain's Habit Rouge. Can't get my nose around it.
TIRED OF OUD?!? Who could ever get tired of oud??? Boooyyyy, go to sleep....with a "lozenge"!
