Buena escena. Muy sensual. Desde Venezuela Saludos.
LOVED IT. reminds me of my own nights out !! get dressed up ( i even have red shoes )- walk down down a rainy street ( tho mine is in london ) walk into a cloud ( normally one of smoke ) dance some tango - then salsa - then tango again - then something in between hehe- then the dj changes direction - i keep on dancing - then tango again to finish up- then off home again ! simple and artisitic, bravo
Pablo Veron -- only the greatest dancer in the world! Love the fusion, especially the tap. Very original, hope there are more to come. (Much more gorgeous with shorter hair.)
watched this about 10 times now since i found it and think its the best 'video clip' i have ever come across...i hope there is more of the same to come...
This is a promo for a show I believe, and I think he does some beautiful tango in here. Would I like to have seen more tango, of course. I don't see how you can say this tango is a mockery... what did you think of his dancing in "the tango lesson"?
Beautiful list you mixed! But if you allow me to suggest something, I miss here the most faous dance of Pablo Veron, "Una Emocion" with Geraldine Rojas (/watch?v=VU385BCvHM0), and... my "Veronica Verdier - Asi Se Baila El Tango":)
All respect to you Anton Gazenbeek (you are an incredible historian and researcher, and dancer) but hasn't tango incoporated different art and dance forms into it form the beginning? From candombe social dancing, and the sexuality in early tango, and stage tango, and nuevo, it's all taking from different sources. Stage tango is looked down on because it wasn't social enough, nuevo looked down on because it's not traditional, and on and on.
Check out Sebastian Arce, Chicho and others that give tango some interesting new twists. Do I like everything they do, no, but 95% of it I do. Stage tango with the super fast kicks, and footwork just is overdone-how long can you watch that anyways? I showed some of that stuff to some beginners and it got boring to them, even I get bored watching it-it is like listening to an auctioneer on fast forward-impressive, but there's not clarity, and half of it you honestly don't see.
Even Juan Carlos Copes admired, looked up to, and copied things from Hollywood musicals with Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse, etc. Why can't we incorporate rythmic, and movement patterns from tap and other dance forms into tango, or alongside? Hasn't stage tango been doing that since the 50's? Why put it down now? Because he doesn't dress in a tuxedo? C'mon... let's not put down the growth of this art, even if you don't prefer things, and would rather stay in the past of tango.
No me gustó nada. 👎🏻

If you look at the names at the end of the clip, she seems to be Guadalupe Diaz Wlodkowski. (Check out "Bailarines tango".)
Qué artista Verón!!
The Best !
