    I've had mine for over a year and finally took it out of a box and used it. I've been very impressed. I bought it on amazon

    I just bought mine. The idea is a good one, but the build quality is shameful. Yours looks much better then the one I received. One machine screw was stripped. Mine would not even stand up on it's own as the welds and axels were so poorly done. One common flaw I have noticed is how the control arm is bolted to the flat base. That small bracket needs to be flipped around so it sits flush on the base. Also the tube should be welded to the length of that bracket. I had to spend a whole weekend cutting and rewelding it before I could even use it.

    18-wheeler bags are great for self-made industrial quality jacks. These little ones are more handy though. (I have both)

    Thanks for the review I just ordered one. Getting older and this just seems so much easier then wrestling with my giant 4 ton jack. Hopefully it can lift some of my heavier pick up trucks, roughly 5000lbs

    I have the small one….and it works incredible. However, i have a relatively small compressor, and it needs a lot of air!

    My 20 year old 2000kg trolley jack no longer holds pressure and a rebuild kit isn't available as the jack has been discontinued.
    Looking at one of these and thinking a better quality one would be better.

      LOL I know right! That was the one reason I included the weight of the boat, I didn't want people to think it was just a jon boat, though with the tandem axels it should be obvious.

    Can the air jack be used with a portable air compressor? - thinking about one that runs off car battery so the jack could be used roadside.

    • @chucksgarage7165
      @chucksgarage7165 Рік тому

      That type of compressor does not have a tank and the produce very low volume so it would be very slow.

    • @copperknob1971
      @copperknob1971 Рік тому

      I was thinking same thing about portable air compressor, should work in theory, just take a bit longer, ok I suppose for occasional use. Only thing I noticed is they need quite a high PSI output, about 120.

    • @chucksgarage7165
      @chucksgarage7165 Рік тому +1

      @@copperknob1971 my shop air is regulated to 95-100 psi and the jack lifts my big old t-bird easily.

    • @copperknob1971
      @copperknob1971 Рік тому

      These air jacks all seem to have the quick release connection, portable air compressor designed for tyres have schrader connectors, is there and adapter to go from one to the other ?

    • @sadfur8728
      @sadfur8728 Рік тому

      @@copperknob1971 portable air tanks usually all have Schrader valves that you could hook up a portable 12V air pump to, and charge the tank to a sufficient pressure. The air jack pressure I found to be needed to lift a van and passenger car was only about 45psi. The tank will need to be probably 90 as it'll drop in pressure as the jack fills up. Didn't need much volume.

    I like it, but have a few questions. Do you know if they have any specs on the air chambers, like how does it hold up and wear in its open / close wear points? How long before dry rot ? How does it hold up to heat, cold, chemicals,

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  2 роки тому +3

      These are all good questions that I don't have answers for. I can't imagine there is much to go wrong other than an air bag failure. If they are built anything like a normal truck airbag, they should last for many years, especially since most people are going to be keeping this under cover in their garage or shop. Time will tell for sure and I'll keep the pinned post updated with any failures. It is light and easy to use, I'll probably be using it in favor of my heavy floor jacks.

    • @allenpardon8211
      @allenpardon8211 Рік тому

      It all depends on the manufacturer of the rubber. If it’s Firestone then it’s pretty good. I used them on semi trucks and they last for years but if it’s off the wall, I wouldn’t trust it to protect me very long.

    • @akbychoice
      @akbychoice Рік тому +3

      Be sure to drain water from your air system. Water in these airbags will degrade them faster.

    • @sadfur8728
      @sadfur8728 Рік тому

      @@akbychoice suppose you could put desiccant inside or pull a vacuum on it periodically to dry out the inside.

    Ironically I had ordered one of these from vevor. I never received an email saying the item had shipped so when I followed up with customer service I got this response: "Unfortunately there is no shipping method available to send your order and it was canceled by the system.
    We have refunded you fully into your original payment account." However, I then see your video after having decided the company must be a scam, now I'm even more confused.....🤨

    They're nice but have to keep an eye on their condition, if damaged their failure mode is catastrophic.

      It still has a few things that need addressed. The front suspension has the normal Ford truck sag, I'd like to get it lifted back up to where it belongs. Then that prompted a response from the better half, she would like Running Boards, so I ordered a set. LOL It never ends. :D

    What happens if the jack suddenly slips? I would be afraid of that happening when lifting a heavy load, imagine a 6000 lb compressed spring going off. Is it possible to fill the jack with water instead?

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  8 місяців тому

      6000lbs of pressure on a spring decompressing instantly would be scary! 6000lbs on an air bag, not as impressive. But yes, you need to understand how to use the jack before using it.

    • @1D10CRACY
      @1D10CRACY  Рік тому

      It's rated for up to 145psi, or at least that is what I said in the video, I no longer have the manual. :D I only keep my compressor at 120psi, and I haven't had it struggle on anything. Any size air tank is probably going to be big enough, it isn't that large of an air bag. If you have a tankless compressor, the more CMF's the merrier.
