Thank you for the kind words! I really appreciate you checking it out:) Ryan made my first build interview EASY. He's an awesome guy and I really like his Outback👌
Great content. Same frame of mind/scenario when deciding to research higher levels of off-road functionality. Mind you, this was 15 ish years ago. Home made tophat spacers, Outback struts w/Forester springs and a 90's clutch pack rear lsd, on my '97 Impreza Outback. Lucked out on avoiding axle issues. Pushing boots to their limits, is another story. The car is still evolving, this late in the game. Couldn't agree more about spending the $ now rather than down the road. Adjustable/rebuildable coilovers that allow your build to "grow" helps justify spending the $ now. Once you start looking at 4"+ body lifts is when it get's sketchy with name brand providers. SJR seems to be the "over built" w/ common sense included engineering/reinforcements it's going to take to handle off-road reliability. Especially, when you're reminding yourself that you still have to drive this thing home. Just my 2¢
That's awesome! You're about a half decade further into the game than myself. I remember when Scott's kits were the only thing you could find much info about in the US and ADF hadn't even started up yet. I couldn't agree more. I will save money on certain things if the situation allows for it. But there usually is a reason why something is half the cost. My next build feature is actually a friend of mine with a 4 inch SJR kit on his WRX. You're right indeed, his kits are solid! It's wild to me that there's certain big name brands that sell trailing arm spacers that aren't reinforced... Mind boggling! I'll have to check out your Impreza! I love those GF8's.
Not enough comments here! Great interview. Well done.
Thats a lot of great information, i really enjoyed hearing all this.
Thank you.
