I put my lamp on the back side of the saw. That way, there's no chance I'll bump into it, and thereby possibly burn my forehead. Love my General. I don't seem to have any issues seeing where to cut. Thanks Rob....
I agree, if possible the lamp should be mounted out-of-the-way. I use a much smaller LED magnetic lamp that can be positioned on a variety of spots and doesn’t generate the heat .
We have an old beaver table saw with the same fence as you have on the bandsaw - probably the best fence we have every used or encountered - someone should remanufacture those for bigger saws!
Rob. Where do you source those lights? I’d like about a 1/2 dozen for my shop! Amazon has some and I bought one but it’s a piece of imported Garbage. Do you have these on tour site?
Love these older machines!
Yeah! Uncle Rob’s dropping some shop knowledge during the great shut in of 2020
love the look of that beaver bandsaw. great art deco ornamentation you dont see anymore
Jake my thought exactly!
Thanks Rob, always the best!
I've gotten in the habit of saying "Thank you Rob" at my computer after everyone of his videos.
“Jake, is that loose? No, it just has to be tightened.” Just kidding Rob, thanks for posting.

This reminds me of one of my bandsaws" homemade base", Rob i know what your going thru my maintenance feels like a full time job too.
Loving these videos! I have learned a ton about what to look for in a used bandsaw! Maybe I won’t buy that Laguna after all!

wow thanks for useful tips and it's awesome and nice~
Rob, the word for which you keep searching... is it traction? Very good bandsaw/Covid-19 series.
Nice beaver!
He likes that shirt, I'm guessing it's his favorite!
Whats the difference other than size? Collectors items?
So if had to keep just ONE which one would you choose?
The General, it’s a solid beast!

Pick up a belt guard for that beaver before it bites someone. 🙀 Safety first!
14" Beaver, is that physically possible?
Peter Dalby scare me to death!
