Rule no.1 when watching this video: turn off your sound or you’ll go mad before he Video has ended!
🙋🏻♂️
Hahahahha true
Challenge accepted
Music literally only has 3 notes its so annoying
123-123321
oh my god i was about to say! this video made me even more anxious about my PE class tomorrow 😂
So basically the 3x3 rules are the same as half court rules, but is continuous because you have to keep playing even after a made bucket.
yessirrr keep on running...
Is the half court rules exactly the same?
With free throws and shot clock
Can u steal the ball after successful field goal if they throw it to their teammate behind the arc?
The music is like if you have a burrito and someone takes it and there is a rat in it and you bite it... Jessica
What happens if the defensive team rebounds the ball then shoots it after the rebound (without returning the ball behind the arc)? Possession for the other team?
Also, situations of illegal defense, is it a foul?
TYIA
+Morbz Anubis Yes if the defensive team shoots before the ball is cleared, ball possession is given to the other team (check ball situation). Regarding illegal defenses, if you mean a team trying to defend in the no-charge semi-circle, a warning is given if this happens a 1st time. A technical foul (meaning 1 free throw + ball possession) is given in case it happens after the warning. Just to clarify, technical foul always means 1 free throw + ball possession regardless of the situation regarding team fouls.
I think they should change the physical content rule at the end in both types of basketball
Do the ranking of Fiba have a function? Here in Brazil, the brazilian team under 18, have not the fourth best players in the coubtry. CBB does not call the best players!!
I see its an old video, but I'm commenting because I just saw this was included in the Olympics Tokyo 2021
1 Can you camp in the key?
2 Why is there so much advantage for the attacking team in the charge circle? Once the opponent puts 1 foot in there you can not defend and by definition not block out to try for a rebound. Its like the old goaltending rule if your team shoots it, you can tip it back in but the defenders basically cant touch it
3 When you play pick up, there is always some smart arse who just throws it into your legs or to your hands really hard when checking the ball. (or right left high low whatever) trying to f you up or just grab the ball back. How will this format deal with that?
4 Cant really see a loophole in this one but if you cant foul out how will that effect the game? (I'm sure there is a way to take advantage of this, or it may be part of the game like fouling to send someone to the line)
5 Last obvious one to me is the taking the ball back after a opponent score. Are they allowed to defend you on the way back? If so, couldn't they just chase their own goal by catching it as soon as it it scored? If on their own, what happens? if at the same time as their opponent, is it a jump ball? and if not at all they are right there defending in the face of someone who is trying to get the ball cleared
If I am wrong hope someone corrects me but basically
1. How much I know there is a 3-second rule for attackers and 5 for defenders but I never saw someone call 5 second
2.That advantage for attackers is when they pick up the ball inside the charge circle so when the opponent scores you picked the ball inside they have to let you go in charge circle as soon as you leave they can steal the ball and continue normally
3.Pick up is check ball right? In that case, if that smartass can't pass you the ball normally the referee will check the ball to you for defenders (don't know if there is a penalty for defenders if they do that)
4. You can't foul out but after like 9th foul attackers get 2 free throws and keep possession
5. You can try to take the ball once they leave the charge circle but how much I know you can't block them from leaving outside the 3pt line
If I misunderstood something sorry about that 😅
wow number 5 is the exact question that i wanna ask haha thanks!
How many NPs are allowed per team?
At the start of the game
If the offensive player is stealed by defensive player during dribbling, at the same time the original offensive player grab the ball back, can the original offensive player attack the rim without passing the ball?
Just to clarify, an offensive player never needs to pass the ball to a team-mate before attacking the rim.
Besides, an offense player shall only check the ball with an opponent on a dead ball situation (never after a steal):
We hope this answers your question!
If not, give us a shout!
Thanks a lot!]
hes talking about change of possession tho, doesn't the ball have to be cleared on change of posession??
Is 2018 rules same like this?
Yes
Is 3 seconds violations applicable in this kind of game? Respect pls..
These "rules" are bad. So just camp inside the charge circle, then when you get it nobody can defend you
Who else watching this for PE?
I don’t want to watch this stupid thing. My PE teacher should go f himself, he sucks.😊
So some of the rules you know regarding 5-on-5 basketball apply keenly to 3-on-3 basketball:
1. You cannot hold the ball and run without dribbling. That's travelling (a ballhandling violation).
2. You cannot commit unsporting behavior. You will get a technical foul - and you get too many technicals - you are out of the game.
3. There are 3-point arcs.
4. There are some prohibitions that can lead to personal fouls on 3-on-3 ball like the 5-on-5. For example, hitting the defender with the hand trying to steal the ball, or charging as you run to the basket (that is, you charge to cause the defender to fall down...).
But what about free throw lane violations? Does it apply to 3-on-3 ball? That is, people on the sides of the free throw lane cannot cross the side boundaries of the free throw line unless the free thrower does the follow-through to the basket? (The usual penalty for a lane violation would be an additional free throw - but if it is against the offense - they lose possession?)
What happens if the game is stopped due to bad light or bad weather will the game get resumed next with same score and time or it'll reset?
An offensive player, after the ball has been cleared, shall not dribble inside the arc with his back or side to the
basket for more than 3 consecutive seconds. What does that mean?
how is "back to the basket rule", i am not sure with my interpretation. article 28.
I have no clue bout wat this video is
You I see you
What about fouls/free throws?
Awful video! They should remake this video to be more viewer-friendly. Read the rules and not just show them for the viewer to read!
What's so important about the "physical contact" rule for substitutions? Regular basketball has no such rule.
+KroMcLovinFaSho In 5x5 Basketball Rules, the procedure for the substitutions is completely different from 3x3. Art.20 of the Official Basketball Rule: “… a substitute has the right to request a substitution. He … shall go to the scorer’s table and ask clearly for a substitution, making the proper conventional sign with his hands, or sit on the substitution chair… As soon as a substitution opportunity begins the scorer shall sound his signal to notify the officials that a request for a substitution has been made … The substitute shall remain outside the boundary line until the official blows his whistle, gives the substitution signal and beckons him to enter the playing court …”.
The Art. 10 of the 3x3 Official Rules of the Game: "Substitutions can be done ... when the ball becomes dead, prior to the check-ball or free throw. The substitute can enter the game after his teammate steps off the court and establishes a physical contact with him. Substitutions ... require no action from the referees or table officials". Therefore, in 3x3 the substitute can enter the game without going to the scorer’s table. During a dead ball situation, he simply establishes a physical contact with his teammate to become a player. No action is required from the Referees or Table Officials. However, Referees are very flexible in the application of this Rule, sometimes allowing the substitute to become player even without establishing a physical contact with the teammate. The most important is that the game is restarted with 3 players on the court. If 4 players are on the court in a live-ball situation, the Team will be immediately charged with a Technical Foul.
The main reason to ask the player for a physical contact, is to be sure that substitutions can only take place behind the end line opposite the basket (as per Art 10 of the Rules). This helps control the game for the referees. In practice, there has not yet been a case of players being penalised for not creating a physical contact for the substitution. Players are invited to make the substitution in the right way at the right place and referees control that only 3 players are on the court with a live ball. If they are 4 on the court with a live ball, the team is immediately sanctioned with a technical foul.
music is.... very bad
I agree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
there is no 3 sec violation?
What violation is called for not moving away the arc after a defensive rebound?
how about for default team
When the team is trying to resume the game by dribbling or passing the ball to a place on the court behind the arc(after defensive rebound, steal, block), is this 'defensive team is not allowed to play for the ball in the no-charge semi-circle area' rule applied? Or is it just only for the 'successful field goal' situation?
the latter
what about the shot clock?
do you need to set two feet outside the arc to clear the ball or you can with 1?
2
one. as long as the other foot doesnt touch the line or inside the arc
Annoying music bro!!!....
JESSICA
Pag veolation c patas ang oras?
Finally I know fiba 3 v 3 rules))
Should both feet be behind the arc to clear the ball?
There's a Trent Tucker Rule in this game, right? That is, with 0.1 or 0.2 seconds left in regulation or shot clock, you must make a high lob or tip-in.
This music...
What was the foul at 4:11 , 5:24 can anyone explain?
At 4:11 I can clearly see the defender pushes the offensive player with both hands.
At 5:24 I don't see a foul.
Are there 3 second violations - offensive and defensive? thanks.
Offensive: yes - Defensive: no
Can I take the shot immediately after check ball?
Yes
How can you tryout
What If the yellow team successfully shot the ball then the black team will rebound the ball then the yellow team stole the ball from the black team while the black team still not passing or dribbling the ball outside the arc can the yellow team shoot the ball even not passing or dribbling it outside the arc
Yes
@@survivormiss i forgot what's my point from my question that i asked lol
why did you removed a rule that if defensive team steals the ball they can attack the basket directly?
Hello David, many reasons including the willingness to have a consistent rule for all cases when the defensive team regains possession of the ball. Also we felt many teams stopped taking risks offensively by fear of conceding a steal in the paint and an easy basket.
Thank you :)
what about personal foul ?? We can call for any illegal contacts...
how about shot-clock violation?
+Đặng Thái Hưng Art 9.2 of the rules of the game says: "If the court is equipped with a shot clock, a team must attempt a shot within 12 seconds. The clock shall start as soon as the ball is in the offensive players’ hands (following the exchange with the defensive player or after a successful field goal underneath the basket)."
Does that answer your question?
Yes, but if the court isn't equipped?
+Đặng Thái Hưng If the court is not equipped with a shot clock and a team is not sufficiently trying to attack the basket, the
referee shall give them a warning by counting the last 5 seconds.
3:20
2022
is there is any different in 2015 rules?
Hello gezerawy, the only notable difference is an alignment with traditional 5on5 rules: technical fouls are now awarded with 1 free throw and ball possession. Everything else stays the same.
One of my friends said if you touch the ball with two hands (when offensive playing) you have to shoot or pass you can no longer dribble. Is this true???
If you were previously dribbling, this is correct.
According to Art 24.1.2 of the Rules of the Game (valid for 5on5 and 3x3), "A dribble ends when the player touches the ball with both hands simultaneously " -> www.fiba.com/downloads/rules/2014/official_basketball_rules_2014_y.pdf
What if the team has 7fouls and the offensive teams make a shot beyond the arc plus foul, will they shoot any free throws or not?
they will..
regardless wahtever the senarios is, they will shoot 2. if above ten fauls and they get and-one, they will shoot and get the ball back
what if 2 players remain in other team but there's a lot of time left?
We continue playing.
2017 rule differences any?
No, same rules as 2016
0:17 0:30 0:59 1:33 2:11 2:50 3:55 4:32 5:21 6:19
ones and twos?
Yes. This was very helpful.
will game end in 21 on over time or it is win by 2 points in overtime?
If the game is tied after 10', the 1st team which scores 2 points in overtime wins (note: it is 1st to score 2 points and not a 2-point advantage).
For example, if the game is tied at 20-20 at the end of regulation, the winning team is the 1st to reach 22. Reaching 21 in this situation is not enough to win.
Hope this clarifies things!
thanks for your regards what will be the time to put on clock in overtime?
@@FIBA3x3 how about 10 mins expires and no team got reach in 21?
Vietsub Please???
